It's not really an easter egg, but I wonder if you added the fact that you can keep killing Grom infinitely and he instantly ressurects, unless you use the soul gem on him. When I was a kid, I remember using the whosyourdaddy cheat and he would just keep respawning and saying "HA! You'd have to try better than that, little brother!".

I FOUND A SECRET EASTEREGG IN THE UNDEAD CAMPAIGN: in one level u have to invade a very big "city" (i forgot the name^^) and u have to kill sylvanna: if u left some villagers-worker from sylvana and get banshee, then upgrade them and let them haunt one of the worker (if u know what i mean^^ im not that good in english xDD). Now u can build sylvanas buildings with the haunted Worker of her.

The Magic Vault triggers were part of a plan for us to randomize the loot throughout the entirety of the game. It was decided at a later point that this was not a good idea and the idea was set aside... never to be heard from again. Until this video...

Yeah, I think I wrote those triggers and comments, but it's hard to remember now. You see in RoC we couldn't save certain things from level to level like we were able to in TFT. This kind of turned into the Orc campaign concept in TFT... But... Now I can't remember. Maaaaybe if you did some TFT videos it would refresh my memory. ;)

Not maybe easter egg but funny thing I have once managed to do: On the map "The Oracle" if you save every unit and grab the Golem-summoning-consumable, it is possible to spawn the golem on the other side of the bridge at the end of the map. You can notice also that Medivh is standing there, and he is not indestructable, so you can use golem's throw rock ability to kill him.

I think that they wanted to give the impression of Azune speaking into the orcs very minds when she speaks with Thralls icon active. As if the orcs all hear the voice all around at once, but can't quite pin it anywhere. I always imagined it that way, and it was always a touch of inspiration nowadays for D&D encounters and campaigns.

The first WarCraft game had actual dungeon maps - with a dedicated tileset specifically designed tio emulate interiors (with furniture and all). And they were populated by unique denizens, such as Ogres, Brigands, Skeletons and Slimes... creatures that never appeared in regular "outdoor" maps.

Indeed. The only thing that gets close to being a "dungeon" in War2 is the second Tomb of Sargeras mission (where you seek the Scepter of Sargeras). I suppose creeps were sacrificed due to the focus on developing good aerial and naval warfare.

Thanks for putting out these videos. I have had so much fun watching them! Something that I remember from way back when on the "Cry of the Warsong" level is that if you take too long to attack the Human bases, they will send all of their units at the same time to attack and destroy your base (similar to what happens at the end of the last Undead level). If I recall correctly, they actively seek out your buildings at this point, even if they are in out of the way places like the area to the far left of your base. You actually have to be pretty doing pretty badly to actually see this happen, as I only saw it as a kid when I wasn't very good at Warcraft III... I guess it's intended to be kind of a hidden timer sort of thing to encourage you to do the optional quest.

Another easter egg: if you defeat Cenarius before drinking from the red pool, you will automatically win without having to beat the first mission and in the cutscene where Grom meets Mannoroth, Grom will be green and not red

really nice job for this orc campaign! didnt know that screen shake. Another thing is that you can kill cenarius (and archimode in the next campaing) without chaos powerup. That is because devine armor takes 5% of the damage.

Another small tidbit regarding Cry of the Warsong is that if you build too close to the Warsong base, two of the raiders will attack and destroy whatever you are building whilst not causing the Warsong clan to become hostile to you. Just an ally casually destroying your buildings and costing you gold.

The cry of the warsong easter egg with Grom's clan attacking you after you killed his stuff made sense to me as a kid. Grom was killing the humans after Thrall (the fucking warchief) told him to leave them alone. So as a kid, having the firm hand of a warchief I had, I attacked Grom and he actually retaliated which I honestly thought was intentional and not an easter egg haha

Actually, it seems to have been found long ago. There is a series of campaigns called Wanderers of Sorceria (which I would strongly recommend), and it has magic vaults that have exactly this set of drops. As it seems, that's where the author got it.

I would like to point out something's in the chapter four - the spirits of Ashenvale, not actually sure if they are eastern eggs. In the map instead of just defending your base you can explore the map and you can find 3 mushroom circle that contained an item and a surprise attack from 3 spirits and another eastern egg is that, remember in the beginning of the map Grom mentioned that Trall uses his greatest warrior's for manual labor... :-D wheel you can instead of harvesting lumber by peon harvest it by Grom and his troops, because there are 5 nightelf bases of total (small or large), each base has a tree of life and each tree grants you 3000 lumber when destroyed. Slater the night elf's and finish the quest in a fun way :-P

If you do "Kill" Grom in the last Orc Mission, he simply respawns at his Throne and declares, "Ha! You'll have to better than that, Little Brother!" Also if you Kill Cenairus without going to the demonic pool the end cinemtaic plays the same except Grom isn't red but the 2 Grunts following him are.

Well one thing that i wanted to point in "Spirits of Ashenvale" is that Grunt which has been talking with us in the beginning cutscene - keeps head tracking over the Grom Hellscream. This might look kinda creepy, especially when he's rotated on 180 angle towards the Hellscream

I'm a bit late to suggest this specific one (I recently revisited W3 campaigns once again), cuz you already included it, anyways I'm happy to have discovered by accident that if you kill Grom on mission 3, Warsong clan becomes hostile and turns against you. I intended to finish mining all remaining gold and lumber in peace after decimating most of human settlements, but the jerk went on razing enemy camps so I got pissed, killed him and just so you know he became even bigger a jerk. Thanks for these vids, they're extremely helpful. :)

Not sure if this is an easter egg, but in Landfall any Tauren that you miraculously manage to save from the creeps attacking them (via using Healing Wards and Scrolls of Healing very generously) will make their way to Cairne's village and be present for the final showdown against the Centaur waves.

The second trigger to kill Thralls wolfs in ,,The Oracle" is set there because if Thrall stands close enough to the gate and uses the ablity there the wolfs spawn on the other side, possibly triggering the trap or helping him in the rest of his part of the level.

I think Grom attacks you if you attack him because killing him could otherwise be a way to prevent him from attacking the humans and thus triggering their counter attacks (which would make the mission really easy).

Spirits of ashenvale does have some (3) small pockets of wooded grove that hold 3 banshees or witches, cause they are creeps, that are guarding and only appear after grom has captured the items they are guarding.

I assume during the Aszune channeling, all I could think of aside from other comments is that the doodads don't have specific unit portait unless implemented as an actual unit for the dialogue, so that might be why she seems to be channeling through him as a sort-of lazy world editing fix instead of changing her statue to a unit/building with a unit potrait.

I knew about Cry of the Warsong Easter egg because l had a broken warcraft or something with really-really bad russian localization. And there was a bug. When your hero or your ally's hero is killed the game just crashes. So i experienced crashes every time Grom attacked humans and I had to figure out how to complete the mission)

No secrets? Beat the map, notice the Hero Score of the Burning Legion forces and then look at the postgame to see it even has a kill. Spoiler: hero is no Grom Hellscream as he is on Warsong Clan forces. Burning Legion forces contains only infernals.
