It looks like the autotapper may be confused with Springleaf Drum and Improvise together. If the autotapper prioritizes making mana with drum rather than using it to improvise that would explain why it didn't think the Cannoneer in match 3 game 1 was castable. Doesn't explain why in match 2 game 2 it didn't give you the ability to cast Metallic Rebuke though.

I really wonder what algorithm they use to calculate what you can cast, because it gets out of hand pretty quickly. The most likely reason for the bug is that it doesn't actually check all the possibilities but they made a mistake on when and how improvise should be considered. Out of all the arena bugs, this is probably the most understandable. It's just super easy to get a combinatorial explosion if you don't optimize aggressively how autopay is calculated.

That first game was painful..Your opponent had zero clue how to play that deck haha. They had infinite life going, and infinite energy. They even had outs for when you bounced their enchantment, and could roll a raptor gamble at least.

Cannoneer doesn't show discounts for artifacts in play because only the Affinity ability does that in the UI, not Improvise.

First game from what i seen. With primal and shrieking drake they could have kept casting it for the one energy off of guide for infinite life i think.

The metallic rebuke thing happened and half the people in chat had brain hemorrhages KEKW Thinking you only had Eiganjo untapped, thinking you couldn’t make blue mana, thinking you didn’t know how improvise worked…

A fix could be to play full control when you play Improvise cards. That way it will give you priority any time that priority is afforded.

The real problem with the bug is the inconsistency. A key pillar of UI design is that the user should be able to predict what will happen when they do something or at least be warned beforehand. In cases like this it's better to just have the improvise hold priority regardless just so it doesn't pass priority without the player expecting it.

looks like an issue with drum. client doesn't know if you want to use drum for improvise or if you are going to tap it and a creature for mana.
