I remember these when they were at the top.... The one broken in half was the original CHL and the the antenna was mounted on the top the large bolts and ashfelt pads are still there.... The Gererator house was a later edition and buried so as the emissions would not interfere with the radar.... I never worked out the what was on top of the BOP... Probably a range finder as it was the earliest bit... At one time it was disguised as a house... So that could explain the large bolts.

I think that was an Anti Air mount, most locations like that usualy had at least one, to protect from bomber fire, or if all else went wrong, invasion.

You forgot to mention the uss Montgomery and the sub wreck and raf camp and prison. The battery wae built on approach to Thames as this is the way bombers and v1s flew. Over to London as river was easy to follow on moonlit nights

Around the corner westwards there where sound mirrors i saw about 30 years ago going into the mud... You can visit the heritage center in Sheerness as they have some good books like Barbed wire island etc and one by a guy named Alan muscle-white that covers all the downed aircraft on the island... Anyway; lowering the tone, i was sitting by those bunkers when fossil hunting a few years ago and some tall handsome guy walked past as bold as brass completely butt naked; I was like o.m.g, but i did smile...😜😘😘
