Instruments like the hurdy gurdy or the Nyckelharpa are originally from the Middle Age (12. Century) and are not comonly played anymore...the sound is beautiful zhough

He is playing the tagelharpa, and the horse hair is a bit loose on the bow, so you have to pull it tight with your fingers to create enough tension to use it. It would be hard to play it like a violin. I just bought one, and am learning how to play it. I love the sound.
