Isn't the propose of the operating steam pressure switch with no manual reset, to cycle the firetube boiler's burner off and on, on high steam pressure since it's generally wired into the recycle circuit of the burner management system? Wouldn't this keep the boiler nice and hot during low load demands from the plant.

This is a great video. Are those murphy switches?
@wareboilers6 жыл бұрын
Those are all Honeywell Pressuretrol switches. Thanks for the comment!

So, are any of those the MODULATING CONTROL? Is the low fire the equivalent of a modulating control?
@NSalivo5 жыл бұрын
your firing rate control is your modulation control

Thanks for the comment! So this video does a good job explaining how the switches work but we just produced a new video that explains the safety valve. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bqPWc2uMaJWCrck Check that out and it should give you a good understanding on how they all work together. Let me know if that helps out!

What kind of tools should I have by default to repair various common problems that can happen to a peerless boiler. Right now. My psi was maxed all of 3 times it fired. Just bought house. I opened all my radiators. I added water to it so it was at the normal level. Then I took water out after noticing psi gage. It could have already been thsy high. It said low water when I took water out to lower psi. So I'm like...fuck. I poked a wire through the copper pipe thst is the little box that regulates the psi. Nothing came out of the psi. And well after I did that. I tried firing it back up. But now it won't fire. Pilot light is lit. I shut power off to it for 30 seconds ect. But still nothing. There is a little circular thing that let's the air out of pipes thag was working also. Anyways I'm avoiding calling a plumber and determined to fix and keep it upkeeped myself. It's warm now but want to get it off bucket list. Holar at me if you could
