The Stug is often considered to be the absolute worst weapon in the game, for a number of reasons. For most mediocre tools, their 'bad-ness' is usually down to just their stats. Infact, they can probably be made pretty good with the right mod set, Riven, and frame to pair it with. But the Stug? The Stug is unique: * The Stug has an EMBARRASSING crit chance of 2 percent. * Even if a crit does proc, it's crit multipler is *1.5*. Far weaker than the base crit damage multiplier of 2.0x. * It is incapable of procing any kind of status during a blob's damage ticks when it's stuck to an enemy * It only has a base 10% status chance - which only gets rolled for on the EXPLOSION of a blob. * It has one of the slowest projectile flight speeds in the game, if not the slowest. * It is counter-intuitive: You must stack blobs to gain the maximum explosive damage, yet stacking blobs resets the time before the blob explodes, which slows down your DPS. * It is incapable of harming Nullifier Shields. * Its AoE cannot damage weak zones. * It's alt-fire charge rate is quite possibly the slowest in the game. * The alt-fire does nothing significant, as you can achieve it's same effect by just manually growing a blob with primary fire. So what happens, if you decide that you want to beat NOT JUST, the entire Starchart with it, but also beat the Starchat with it on a new account, having to go through almost all the game's quests, with none of your maxed-out mods? Let's find out!

Actually, the Stug is good at one thing and it is Vay Hek, even if you don’t stick the bubbles on the head it will still damage it with the explosion, making the fight relatively easy. The problem is that out of the 200+ nodes of this game, Vay Hek only appear in one. So, euh... good luck :)

A kinda similar thing happens with Sargas Ruk and the Athodai. When he opens his weakspots, its secondary fire can damage him literally anywhere and it won't trigger a mini-invincibility phase. Only time he's invincible is when his parts blow up and he has to open the next. So far I only found it working on him only. Tested on Vor, Kril, Hek and Ruk so far (from the ones who have invincibility phases/weak points)

@@breadpriest A lot of people, because they know that nice guys will be glad to carry them. I just leave the squad, then proceed to solo it. In my 1000+ runs, I've had mr0-1 at least 10% of the time. That is, playing with matchmaking, not group forming. Problem with group forming is that people will just take the meta, nothing else. I don't totally use the meta anymore (when it comes to frames), as I have more comfort and control (and fun) using my main, which with whom I can still solo a tricap quite easily (18-20 minutes on average). I will get trashed from time to time by meta players for not sticking exactly by it and I don't bother with them. I find your question very rational and would like to notify you that you'd be considered toxic for asking such a reasonable question.

Either subject enemies to the Spec Ops Dubai (S.O.D.) treatment, let them eat acid while they're at it, witness the strong smell of the Stug's snowballs, maybe get tazed or frozen by trying to break them, realize their shields are gone from said snowballs, suffer food poisoning in the process, even make them hyped and shoot each other, or just blast them away like you would a launcher... Yeah, I tried my creativity at various Stug status builds for this. But to be sure, damage should also be focused there.

I became friends with a KZbinr/streamer through the Stug. He started playing WF with 3 of his friends and I used ALL of my plat gifting him stugs. I had to have gifted him 100 stugs. Others joined in and he probably ended up with 200 stugs. Good meme.

Ah, the stug, one of the worst weapons in the game... and the one I love using the most. I am a man of very stupid taste, and if there is ever a chance for me to make something very bad good, I'm dumb enough to do such thing. As a challenge from my very "special" team of misfits, I needed to 50 forma a stug, and needing to craft every single forma put into it. To think such a challenge would not only have me appreciate the little things the stug can do, but to want me to put even more forma into it, willingly, means that every weapon can be good, with enough time, and insanity put into it. And now I bestow the knowledge that a very special warframe player actually enjoys using the stug onto you, enjoy.

I don’t know if I’m remembering wrong but in the early days the stug was a very nice weapon way back in the early days since it did good aoe damage back when frames were typically specced for crowd control Most aoe damage was done by guns and usually the most offensive skill spammed back in the day was probably just Nova’s antimatter bomb since like most frames didn’t have scalable abilities

On console I ended up starting a similar challenge, and the grineer detonated themselves. On console cutting and relaunching keeps the stats, but even if you complete the mission it doesn't show up as kills ON anything. I vote as long as the only weapon or warframe with a total kills stat is the stug, it doesn't matter what the total kills says.

The nerfs are only in the Helminth system. The real abilities are still intact. This makes it so that the abilities aren't absolutely busted and the only thing people take. Seriously, if you compare roar/eclipse to the other things on the list there's an obvious choice. However, that still makes them *okay*, but not absolutely meta changing. It allows for more variety which honestly I'm down for.

Cmon, we don't want warframes who don't even have the abilities to start with be better at them than the frame who owns them in the first place. That being said I would be down for some buffs to the shitty moves like shock in general, not just in helminth, and I highly suspect this might happen due to us seeing some pretty interesting changes on mag's abilities for some reason.

Only resources from the first three planets 3. Only starter frames/equipment 4. This reminds me, a long time ago, I was farming XP at that same spy node on Venus with Limbo. It was a fissure mission but I ran out of bullets. That day I had to kill all the lvl 7 corrupted enemies (including heavy gunners, ancient, nullifier) with Limbo's boots.
