With so many Incarnon Genesis weapons to pick, and a pool of five each week, does the Incarnon Bo appeal to you at all? I went for it because I figured not many would.

Okidoke, so, some quick notes. If you're going for a multi-hour-long build, as Barkly mentioned, you're not going to want to use this build for the plain damage output. Two things of note: First thing of note: if you're going for the bleed procs, having extra elements on the weapon is a BAD thing. Unless you've got the viral mods at a minimum rank, you're going to be reducing the number of bleed procs you get otherwise with no significant uptick in bleed damage. If you want to increase your bleed damage, then increase your base damage, use viral, use a final damage multiplier (like eclipse) or use a faction damage multiplier (Primed Smite Grineer/Corrupted/Sacrificial Set). Note that extra stacks of viral do NOTHING for damage over time effects - quite simply, if viral is present, then the DoT does double damage, and the increased damage of the original hit is NOT calculated into the boosted proc either. Second thing of note, that +status chance modifier is *BASE* status chance. I *CANNOT* stress this enough. _IT IS AFFECTED BY MODS, INCLUDING WEEPING WOUNDS AND 60/60 MODS._ That puts Bo Prime up to _62%_ *BASE STATUS CHANCE BEFORE WEEPING WOUNDS.* With _just_ Weeping Wounds, at 12x combo you get 334% status chance. _That is a_ *GUARANTEED* _3 status applications, hitting 4 one third of the time._ This particular build can achieve a _lot_ of fun things. Notably, it can strip 80% of enemy armour in just like 3-4 hits. Or it can apply bonkers amounts of heat procs. Or both. Or if you were a madman and put cold on alongside corrosive instead of heat, you could trap enemies you hit into BIG impact staggers while being 80% slowed. Not to mention that with all the impact procs in general, you _will_ be getting Parazon Finishers _constantly._ With the +4 range this thing gets, the only real weakness is the weapon's abysmal 0.5 follow-through. And yes, the +6% crit chance, +6% status chance build is still base, so it goes from a usable 24% with respectable 2.6x multiplier to a lovely 30% crit chance. Just Blood Rush is enough to take that to 164% crit chance, if you threw in Gladiator Might you'd get 195% crit chance - that is, mostly orange crits, as opposed to the mostly yellow crits without that modifier. Keep in mind that the weapon already comes with +100% base damage in its incarnon mode, so base damage mods are going to be doing less work from the onset. Rather than doubling your damage, Pressure Point's going to be giving 1.5x, three status effects for Condition Overload's going to be almost-doubling instead of nearly-tripling. Not as big as the bonus would be otherwise, although not necessarily a reason to simply not put them on, but just keep that in mind. It might be worth using Sacrificial Pressure to increase crit chance further if you happen to be putting Sacrificial Steel on, although for my money it's not super worth it if you're already using Blood Rush unless you intend to use heavy attacks on a regular basis, since two gladiator mods can almost replicate the bonus and also give other beneficial stats without demanding Umbral Slots in order to not cost the price of . Final note that Bo Prime is _already_ an extremely fast weapon as is with a 1.68 attack speed stat, so it hits its its breaking point on attack animation speed a lot faster than other melee weapons to begin with - it might be better to use Gladiator Vice just for the extra crit chance, since with the +6% crit +6% status build, that equates to another +33% added on to the final crit chance. Weigh your options accordingly and see if the difference between Berserker Fury and Gladiator Vice is especially notable at that level, and always keep in mind that if you're using a heavy attack build, Quickening can absolutely help with increasing your combo counter.

@@scannerbarkly Alas, I only wish I knew how follow-through affects damage over time status calculations - are they based on the follow-through attack's damage, or still based on the weapon? That could make all the difference on, say, using Heat or Gas shenanigans despite reduced direct-hit damage on multiple enemies. If it were based on the weapon, heat would be okay to go - but if it were based on the follow-through, that'd negatively impact heat builds due to how heat inheritance works, and being stuck with a weaker proc. That said, Shattering Impact ignores follow-through entirely -- might be worth considering given how fast Bo Prime is.

Follow-up: Follow-through does affect damage over time - alas. Also - I completely misread the attack speed stat - somehow, as 1.68. It is 1.08. That's a pretty big mistake on my part.

@@oriondezagrats4228 I've done some shenanigans with Shattered Impact in order to get some base armor strip - you can armor strip an acolyte in like 1-2 hits, and most units get stripped pretty quickly. Plus there's helminth get some extra status for condition overload to apply more. I had taken your advice and used weeping wounds to get to like 300% status chance and it's pretty funny altogether.

Flashing bleed is the only thing that's making the bo usable in a way, and why DE decides to make an impact based weapon with no slash is beyond me

The Bo is one of the oldest weapons in the game is why. If it's not 10 years old it's close. 40% bleed on impact is not enough to make it *great*, but it does make it usable. Its also not in any way unique though - it's just a big stick - and prisma skana and hate also get adapters, so you have to really love bonking people over the head.

@@Taverius The bo is absolutelly unique, its the only melee weapon once equipped with incarnon genesis to have the option of reaching 10~11meter reach. Just equip it with a saryn and u can room clear like crazy as toxic lash fixes all its potential damage issues during high level.

I'm chuckling because on a number of choices are named "Swordsman's" for a weapon that is not a sword. Love the Bo Prime primarily for its look, and I've always been a big fan of staves. That is why I chose to chase after the incarnon adapter this week.

Isn't it better to prioritize the impact rather than corrosive for it to proc the slash from the impact even more? E.g. Saxum Thorax then gladiator mods.

Yes. I use this weapon in Steel Path now and it wrecks face. Impact priority, an armored frame (auto blocking), went for heavy attack efficiency in incarnon evos. Destroyed an acolyte in 3 hits. Could’ve have waited 1 sec for him to die from the slash procs, but couldn’t be bothered. ;)

Yea..quick attack melees aren't the best place right now compared to what they used to be, pre primed reach, CO, and Bloodrush nerfs. It takes ALOT just to get them back to a similiar feeling to what they had pre nerfs, and are now way outpaced by AOE & high firerate guns or niche melee builds(glaive etc). No one wants to use the impossibly slow heavy attack builds unless it's their only choice. One could almost argue it's about time melee, atleast the combo counter quick attack builds got their arcanes.

It's always fun watching the meta shift every time i drop back into the game, I have to say. Being back playing with Duviri and realizing that melee is in a very different state now than it was when I stop is really a learning curve. lol

With the advent of SP Circuit there is a whole new way to understand weapons, and that is what is the probability that one that is "good enough" to do the job will come up in the pool when you go in. The probability is honestly not all that high when taken from the perspective of all the weapons and warframes in the whole game. The encarnon adapter on the the Bo Prime, and most of the rest of the new encarnon weapons, take something that will be next to useless from that perspective and make them into (at the very least) "good enough". That some of them are crazy, meta-level good is just the cherry on top. But if you are a veteran you will be getting the most bang for your buck in circuit by making mastery rank fodder into usable SP weapons.

The regular Bo hilariously is better by just a *little* bit gets extra range, crit chance and status I just built mine as a raw damage crit stick, and it rips because it has 14 meters of range

5:40 after the melee nerfs like blood rush, condition overload, attack speed and range of the melee all of them feel weaker than primaries and secondaries current in the game, DE needs to roll back some of those nerf like range and change suspended status to pull enemies to the player instead of letting them levitate away from you like when u use pull with mag, also melees dont have galvanized mods nor arcanes and that hinders the damage potential a lot.

Your build is very not optimal you should be modding for viral it just makes sense since your procing bleed with the evolution so mod for 60 60 damage and status mods to up your status very high then use primed heavy trauma for more impact procs boom your build is insane also if your gonna be using this as your main weapon replace sacrificial steel with blood rush if your always gonna be at 12x combo. That’s why this weapon doesn’t feel good for you cause your modding it incorrectly

@@tannerkennedy4192 My apologies, but I am not entirely sure why you are going for this build. Increase combo change will only help me build combo multiplier a little quicker, which I don't even need to worry about as it really doesn't take very long to get to 6 to activate the Incarnon, or get to max after that. This build doesn't seem to emphasis heavy attacks, so for the most part you'd just be holding the maxed out combo counter. To do that, you'd be sacrificing base damage, the ability to CO Prime for Viral with a secondary, and you'd only be gaining a bit of movement speed? What am I missing here?

It's really ass for the regular Bo, since I'm not paying 90p or more for Bo prime. It struggles to kill base steel path and the stat increases don't help....has anybody thought of having shattering impact on it?

Sadly late-game shattering impact takes hundreds of hits to fully strip armor, which just isn't feasible.

@@jackrabbit1704 shattering impact works off a units base armor, it takes the same number of hits to full strip a level 20 bombard as it does a level 9999 bombard. It's reducing the base value the unit type has before being affected by level and steel path modifiers. With enough attack speed or stance hits, it's reasonable to strip with it, it just usually doesn't find a home in builds because you're giving up a slot for it. That's why amalgam argonak metal augur is so good, it's shattering impact for dagger's but you offload it to a primary weapon stick, then run rakta dark dagger, innodem, whatever you like really.

@@Drake_Blackwell The amalgom armor strip only works so quickly and effiecntly because it works on both hit and status proc. Even then, it's not taking a melee mod slot. No matter your reasoning, it'd still take hundreds of hits to strip an enemy which just isn't feasible unless you're a very patient person.

@@jackrabbit1704 Shattering Impact does not and never will take hundreds of hits to strip armor, because it works off base armor, not the scaled armor that a level 120 or whatever enemy has. You can check the wiki for confirmation, or just put shattering impact on any weapon and go hit something durable with it, like an eidolon. It will very definitely not take hundreds of hits to strip armor. That said, Shattering Impact is really not worth it in general - certainly not on weapons that do single hits. Even more certainly after the defense strip changes. It's much better on warfan and gunblade type weapons, since they typically have an attack mode that shoots multiple pellets that count as different hits. So you can fully armor-strip anything in the game with a Vastilok with Shattering Impact on it in a few hits. While you'd take tens with something like a Bo.

@@jackrabbit1704 the highest armor you're going to normally encounter is 500 base on things like bombards and corrupted heavy gunners, so 84 instances of shattering impact to full strip. I haven't used staves in a long time, but clashing forest's neutral and block combos seem to have 5 hit components to them, so on a 500 armor enemy, 17 E taps to full strip. Yes it's a lot. No it's not hundreds.

Hmmmmm, really good point! I guess the main thing is that when you move the mouse over them it causes them to expand, showing what the mods actually mean and do for newer players. This is really good feedback, though, i'll keep this in mind in the future and might do a little mod breakdown in the description for new players and leave the footage free for everyone to easily just see the full set up without some of it being covered.
