proud of my nidus boys coming through on the poll, too bad we got overruled. The reason I voted for Nidus over ash as far as the more versatile and overall good frame would be for how nidus can maintain whatever he is doing, but Ash would struggle more, health only means Nidus will seldom run out of energy and he's near immortal if you play him right. His kit can be used on open world, close quarters, defense, offense, he's great in a looting squad, great in survival, and most missions he doesn't excel in can be done quick enough; nearly any frame can do them. Comparing this to Ash, he could do all of the same things and stealth in addition, but simply not for as long or as consistently. To put it plainly, if their was an entire planet overrun by a faction, and we needed to save a small colony or even just exterminate the whole planet, I pick Nidus, Ash could do it for a while, but I feel like he would get overwhelmed. I see nidus as a devastating force of nature, I see Ash as the guy who could make a countries government disappear...both do something similar, Nidus just does it on a larger scale. Take everything I say with some salt, I would need to experience more of each frame to really stand firm on this opinion. But seriously, Bonk...you really gonna do us like that?

I stand by it , I agree with some of your points but ash is insane at scaling I mean there’s a bunch of crazy builds for infinite runs out there. I just think his power is crazy even compared to nidus

I am gonna be honest, I voted for nidus because i a rarely used ash but I started using him yesterday again after sooooo long and my goddddddd it was a regret for me voting nidus😭😂

I have a problem with gauss getting kicked here. Not a single person knows how his 3rd ability works which should be mentioned, it can nuke level cap enemies (every time you recast heat it doubles the heat procs CURRENT damage AND heat procs get dealt like expedite suffering AND thats calculated after the armor strip) and it can perma CC enemies since you can freeze them like statues. Give me one ability in the game that is that versatile, much less on a frame that literally does everything else already. Im sad too see him losing through ignorance rather than by an actual reason. People voting against him purely because he "doesn't scale" "ammo nerfs" and "the tools the both have and damge" is a clear sign of this lack of understanding. I get that the general community has the idea he is a weapon buff or speed frame, and even many know about the armor strip too yet still scoff, but few touch the real ends of his potential. His potential shouldn't get squashed simply because people didn't take the time too look a layer deeper than "weapon/player go fast" and since an ability looks like trash on the surface.

Not to mention that the armour strip and damage also work from WEAPON heat procs, so a weapon like the supra with his 200-300% fire rate buff can apply 10 stacks in seconds letting you deal a 50K nuke after armour strip.

@furgel7717 you know 3 casts of thermal sunder with archon vitality and 40% strength deal triple that damage in the nuke right? You should try out a primary gaze. As the main element is radiation and demolysts can't take rad it forces heat procs. Gaze, steadyslam, bashrack for a perfect amount of CC, great crit multiplier, and just enough status chance to work. Equip bane and primary deadhead for even more headshot multiplier and now your heat procs are going to be obscenely strong. We are talking hundreds of thousands from just a couple procs, unload a full clip then nuke and you can even hit *damage cap* with it. The point of heat procs isn't applying a lot so they can build up, but getting all the multipliers so each heat proc you apply is worth a couple hundred of the ones your supra is applying.

@@CollateralKaos Well yeah of course it does more damage, but it also takes tripple the energy cost and if you're one shotting steel path anyway it barely matters.

@furgel7717 that would be double as it's casting 2 more heat while you already have too do one heat and 1 cold. Also it *does* matter because you need to shoot enemies directly like that to kill them while the nuke taking 2x energy will kill EVERYTHING in a 33m range. Huge difference.
