Warframe - Would These Weapons Work In Real Life?

Would these Warframe weapons work in real life? I don't think any of these are the best weapons of 2022, but they're the ones I've come across while playing the game.
Hope you enjoy my assessment of:
xoris, Nami skyla, lecta, lacera, broken war, broken scepter, furax, furis, heat sword, skana, dual cleavers, mire, ceramic dagger, and anku.
Warframe is a free-to-play action role-playing third-person shooter multiplayer online game developed and published by Digital Extremes. First released for Windows personal computers in March 2013, it was later ported to PlayStation 4 in November 2013, Xbox One in September 2014, Nintendo Switch in November 2018, PlayStation 5 in November 2020, and Xbox Series X/S in April 2021. Support for cross-platform play and cross-save, as well as ports to mobile devices, are planned for 2022. The game is in a long-term state of open beta.
In Warframe, players control members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who have awoken from centuries of suspended animation far into Earth's future to find themselves at war in the planetary system with different factions. The Tenno use their powered Warframes along with a variety of weapons and abilities to complete missions. While many of the game's missions use procedurally-generated levels, newer updates have included large open world areas similar to other massively multiplayer online games as well as some story-specific missions with fixed level design. The game includes elements of shooting and melee games, parkour, and role-playing to allow players to advance their Tenno with improved gear. The game includes both player versus environment and player versus player elements. It is supported by microtransactions, which lets players purchase in-game items using real money, but also offers the option to earn them at no cost through grinding.
The concept for Warframe originated in 2000, when Digital Extremes began work on a new game titled Dark Sector. At the time, the company had been successful in supporting other developers and publishers, and wanted to develop their own game in-house. Dark Sector suffered several delays and was eventually released in 2008, having used some of the initial framework but far different from the original plan. By 2012, in the wake of the success of free-to-play games, the developers took their earlier Dark Sector ideas and art assets and incorporated them into a new project, their self-published Warframe.
Initially, the growth of Warframe was slow, hindered by moderate critical reviews and low player counts. Since its release, the game has experienced positive growth. The game is one of Digital Extremes' most successful titles, seeing nearly 50 million registered players by 2019.
Set in the future, players control members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who have awoken from a century-long cryosleep as they awake again on Earth, with their memories about the Old War lost for the moment. In the Solar System, they find themselves at war with the Grineer, a matriarchal race of militarized and deteriorated human clones built upon metal, blood, and war; the Corpus, a mega-corporation with advanced robotics and laser technology built upon profit; the Infested, disfigured victims of the Technocyte virus; and the Sentients, a race of self-replicating machines made by a long-dead transhuman race known as the Orokin. The Lotus guides the Tenno through difficult situations, as well as gives hints which help the player defeat enemies. To fight back, the Tenno use bio-mechanical suits, the eponymous Warframes, to channel their unique abilities.
All of the factions encountered in the game, including the Tenno, were created by or are splinter groups of the old Orokin Empire, which the Tenno learns was an ancient fallen civilization and former reigning power in the Solar System. Although most of them are long dead by the time of the Tenno's awakening, their lingering presence can be still be felt throughout the Solar System. Before their fall, the Orokin had realized the Origin System was becoming dangerously depleted of resources, and their solution to keep their empire alive, was to colonize new star systems. The Orokin sent out colony ships through the Void, a trans-dimensional space that enabled fast travel between stellar systems. They had also sent out the Sentients before hand, to arrive in these systems first, and terraform them, so the colonists would arrive to garden worlds, capable of supporting human life. None of these residential ships returned, and those they had loaded with Sentients returned with the Sentients now deciding to wipe out the Orokin, leading to the Old War, the creation of the Tenno, and finally, the collapse of the Empire.

I'm not sure *anyone* knows what's up with the energy field thing around War and other Sentient items, we just know similar stuff shows up all over the place on their stuff. It might have an effect - given how war proper is set up, it's probably structural and for cutting purposes - but it could also just be aesthetic. The sentients love them their aesthetic.

The energy stuff on sentient weapons seems to be physical in nature, at least based on a spoiler weapon. The only sentient weapons I can think of that have it though are (Broken) War, the spoiler weapon, and Korumm. My theory is that the glow is a sign its something made from Hunhow, as a lot of stuff we know to be from Hunhow's splinter has that glow (War, Broken War, Pakal armour, etc). Any sentient items that doesn't have that glow we know has no relation to Hunhow's splinter (the Caliban warframe, a spoiler weapon, Venato, Nepheri, Verdilac and Basmu). Only exceptions being the Korumm, Protovyre stuff and Pakal Syandana. That or its purely decorative and there's no reason why its there.

If you haven't already, you should check out the Masseter greatsword. It definitely won't infuriate you. Also, weapon attack animations change depending on what stance mod you equip on them, e.g. some sword stances have less thrusts and will make more logical sense on Broken War.

My personal take on Fragor is that the base of the hammer (black thing inside) is made of something like osmium. And it's really heavy - 22.59g/cm3. And the bars around it are made from tungsten. Hammers are heavy, warframes are far stronger than normal human so force can be directed straight to the bars (so smaller surface area) - and those could be removed and repaired between missions if needed. The density of tungsten is 19g/cm3 so it’s not to dissimilar from osmium the thing is tungsten is actually a very brittle metal and it would more likely crumble or ware faster than even say steel

I watched this video because the Xoris was in the thumbnail, and was dying to see how'd you explain it working in real life. Then I saw how you used it, and was dumbfounded that you weren't using its heavy attack, which there's no way in hell that there's a real life counterpart. FYI, the heavy attack for the Xoris, and all glaive weapons, is a straight throw in front of you, you're then able to make it explode for a LOT of AoE damage, at which point it returns to your hand so you can repeat the attack. The Xoris is one of my most favorite weapons in Warframe, with an initial combo/heavy attack build being my go-to playstyle.

I mean, if you had the technology to pull it back after- a remote detonator could be used with a blastproof weapon. (Maybe that's why there's very little normal material, it's just to hold the explosives, which apparently are rechargeable.)

@@themorrigan1312 maybe, but I can actually explain how the Lex - or at least the Lex Prime works. Slide looks pretty desert eagle ish, and the barrel doesn’t appear to tilt, so I’m assuming it works something like a Laugo Arms Alien or the desert eagle.

The melee weapon stances are another question Some are just stupidly comedic like cleaving whirlwind for the heavy blades I E longswords, claymore yada yada One of the combos is just spinning with the blade and doing it too much will stagger you

You can poke fun at cleaving whirlwuind but the spin move is actually rather realistically animated and executed Tempo Royale on the other hand doesnt give a damn about physics, your weight, your weapons weight...etc

Cleave is still a 200% base damage multistrike each hit with the spin, and thats pretty hard to outdo Tempo has 1 good multiplier in the combos yoyu actually use on it And the third one, the one so boring i even forgot its name, as unwieldy and very much not graceful as it is, does the overall best dps at the moment, if that ever mattered anywhere for some reason(it doesnt) All in all, id say tempo royale is the simpler to enjoy, cleaving is the more efficient, and that third one would be great if it didnt suck Before they bastardised the stances and called it a "rework", Tempo was by far the best stance to use in the entire game, was super mobile, super efficient, still top tier damage even if not the absolute most possible New melee is just a sad shadow of how it *felt* , not even mentioning damage because that was and will be advocate. But it os telling when the melee weapon i enjoy the most nowdays are the glaives

To cover all the minor nitpicks, Broken War was the best single sword in the game for several years, Mire isn’t REALLY a sword, it’s a chunk of undead metal that can regrow, just like all infested weapons, the Kuva Scepter isn’t really a weapon, it’s more like an oversized ceremonial wand, and it sucks as a weapon, and you’ve hardly covered any of the more bizarre weapons, which if needed, I will gladly display. (Seems like you picked console instead of PC, if you picked PC I could directly display any weapon you wanted. I can also advise you on builds.)

I'm surprised you didn't look at the atterax. It's essentially a blender on a string but it's supposedly used for execution from what I recall. Also there's the jat kitag which is a rocket hammer with some studs on it.

I'll try to bring clarification (if needed) and other along me watching the video For the way the attacks are done, this can be changed using différent stance mods For the gross infested weapon It doesn't really matter if stuff break etc, it's a living organism that can grow spikes and stuff basically like they're bones (they most likely are bones) So Idk if it can be judged as a normal sword

I really want you to cover the Volnus, a hammer literally made of glass. Or the Vitrica, a glass greatsword. There are a lot more weapons that are pretty cool though, and could be actually functional weapons, especially if you were to talk about weapon skins (such as the Fragor Brokk skin). Plus I'm curious on your views on some of the weapons with really out-there designs/concepts, such as the Hespar, Venato or Wolf Sledge (a throwable goddamn sledge-hammer).

Vitrica is not made of glass, it can turn enemies into glass. Volnus is glass-bladed.

@@FMHikari You could argue the Vitrica is made of glass though. The blade is incredibly thin, and the swinging noise is pretty similar to that of the Volnus. Plus, for a guy obsessed with glassing things, and in a nightwave chapter themed around glass, it'd make sense to get a weapon made of glass. Plus the shockwave attack releases glass-shard visual effects from the weapon itself (and the glassing projectile takes on the same shape as the head of the weapon, suggesting its launching part of itself).

The broken septor would not be complete irl... unless you are a wizard - it literally sucks life out of opponents, you can activate a little animation. Mire is a sword totally infested and mutated by tiny particles called "infestation" basically zombie-nanomachines, they make weapons alive.

short answer: No Reverse grip has no viability as a style, sometimes you can backstab with an icepick grip if you have a dagger but anything larger than a wakazashi would be clumsy af in reverse grip Decisive Judgement is how you would most efficiently use a Nikana and Tranquil Cleave also has some semi-realistic moves but is otherwise using the weapon without visually utilizing its range(Only decisive judgement strikes with straight arms forward)

Can confirm for Laszlo even with my inexperience. Absolutely not. Yes, it looks cool, however you are swinging in the worst direction with your body's momentum. At best with a katana in the Blind Justice stance, you'd be giving someone bruises and papercuts. This is just DE succumbing to anime trope. Even then, as a vet Warframe player, I avoided using that after a few missions, even before DE had simplified the combos. It's complete blegh.

As I said last time you did one of these: long time Warframe player here, yeah just about all that sounds right. I don't really have anything fancy to add, I have a bit of further context for some stuff though so if anyone is interested, just scroll down. War and Broken War probably use some hard light blade in addition to their actual blade, though if I'm not mistaken they don't actually do any impact damage (at least I don't believe War does) so it might be that the physical blade is more a backup in case the hard light fails. More a theory than a fact since sentients are....weird. Mire is basically just an infested mass that is vaguely sword shaped, I dunno why it happened but it did. Something of note is that it probably isn't "fleshy" like you might imagine, considering what the Infestation can do, it's probably all living metal so pretty sound besides the spines. The spines breaking off also sounds more like a benefit for that thing but I digress. The Broken Scepter isn't meant to be a weapon, just something entirely ceremonial but I'm not shocked the idea came to someone else too! The thing certainly is good for bonking.

6:00, something that you forgot is that Glaives typically have an "alternate fire", basically when throwing the glaive, you can detonate a shockwave mid-air which does massive damage to enemies within it's radius, it's one of the things that makes Glaives such a good melee, it has single target and good group clearing combined with high damage (Glaive Prime is really good in the Steel Path for dealing with Acolytes).

Oh shit. I need to paint up a frame in red and black and take the Lacera and start playing Red Sun. Also speaking of.... we have a Grineer Blade-Whip weapon, the Jat Kusar. It is weird, as the handle essentially produces two sets of flame jets to form the "blade," but in appearance is most closely resembles the Kusarigama, with the flame-blade being sickle shaped and having the weight on the end of the cord, rather than a hook.

Broken War is canonically one of the weirdest swords in Warframe. It’s a weird sentient conduit thing. It allowed the sentient Hunhow to speak through the stalker and was partially made from Hunhow himself

im pretty sure the wars energy field is actually a repulsion field because the weapon mainly does blunt damage instead of cutting the energy is essentially vibrating things it hits so hard its crushing or tearing them imagine someone hits something iwth a magnetic force your going to be more crushed instead of cut

Broken war is actually mainly slash, however complete war is impact based But this is *solely* due to balancing reasons and because with a slash weighting it would have been too similar to Galatine Prime and Scindo Prime

Im a HEMA practitioner and there are some weapons and stances i just can't stand looking at. Tempo Royale comes to mind for the greatsword class of weapons. Not only is the tenno swinging around the sword like a pool noodle with one hand, but they spin it over their back for seemingly no reason.
