Warframes vs 40k & Halo Super Soldiers

Full disclosure, I do play Warframe. But they by no means need to be the bestest. However, playing just makes me aware of how easy it is to kill 100+ of these and tougher soldiers in a 2 minute mission.
They don't even achieve that in the Halo 5 Guardians trailer, or the Astartes short.
The Warframe is an advanced weapons system used exclusively by the Tenno in their missions throughout the Origin System. The Warframes possess regenerative shields, greatly enhanced mobility, and the use of an array of supernatural abilities - all of which further augment the Tenno's deadly use of traditional combat arts.
Warframes are divided into a collection of diverse models, each of which personifies a great warrior spirit. Players may don ExcaliburIcon272.png Excalibur to gain his prowess with bladed weapons, for instance. Each Warframe is moreover highly reconfigurable, meaning players can tailor their choice of Warframe to fit a multitude of playstyles. While certain Warframes excel in a particular situation, none are limited to a singular role and no role demands the use of a singular Warframe.
Warframe is a free-to-play action role-playing third-person shooter multiplayer online game developed and published by Digital Extremes. First released for Windows personal computers in March 2013, it was later ported to PlayStation 4 in November 2013, Xbox One in September 2014, Nintendo Switch in November 2018, PlayStation 5 in November 2020, and Xbox Series X/S in April 2021. Support for cross-platform play and cross-save, as well as ports to mobile devices, are planned for 2022. The game is in a long-term state of open beta.
In Warframe, players control members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who have awoken from centuries of suspended animation far into Earth's future to find themselves at war in the planetary system with different factions. The Tenno use their powered Warframes along with a variety of weapons and abilities to complete missions. While many of the game's missions use procedurally-generated levels, it also includes large open world areas similar to other massively multiplayer online games, as well as some story-specific missions with fixed level design. The game includes elements of shooting and melee games, parkour, and role-playing to allow players to advance their Tenno with improved gear. The game includes both player versus environment and player versus player elements. It is supported by microtransactions, which lets players purchase in-game items using real money, but also offers the option to earn them at no cost through grinding.

Some people are asking where I got the "their armor weighs 1000 pounds" from. Here's all the math and link to the source: First off, let's look at the size of your average Grineer. With the exception of the Ballistas and Scorpions, all the Grineer tower over your Warframe by a good foot or more and are built like bricks. Heavy units are even larger. Using some online calculators, I estimated the surface area of the average unarmored Grineer to be around 26,000 cm^2. We know carbon steel makes up a good portion of their armor, if not all of it. We can also see its thickness thanks to the way our swords and guns are able to gut them like fish. Measuring is difficult, but I'd estimate a good 2 cm on average for the non-heavily armored parts. The density of steel varies somewhat, but 7.85 g/cm^3 is about average. Plugging it all together, that gives us 408.2 kg. Add to it the weight of the Grineer itself (estimated from the average unarmored Spartan's weight from Halo) and that goes up to 523.2 kg. This is just the regular armor layer. As I'm sure we're all aware of, Grineer are ridiculously top-heavy, featuring massive pauldrons, hunchbacked armor, and bulging legs. Eyeballing it, it looks like they're carrying around the equivalent of at least two car engines on their shoulders, back and thighs, increasing the weight by an additional 540 kg or so. Much of the Grineer's body has been replaced by machinery, but I won't speculate as to how much that has increased their mass. Not only could some Warframes handle the open field scenario, there are some where that's their IDEAL arena. Mag, Ember, Rhino, Saryn, Octavia, and Hyldren all benefit immensely from having line of sight on a ton of enemies at once, and that's not even an exhaustive list. Edit: Mesa, I can't believe I forgot Mesa, that scenario is a Mesa main's DREAM.

You forgot the best one for that scenario. Trinity. Activates her "Link" ability and can then just casually walk about casting blessing. Any further fighting is optional. Any marine that fires on her has 100% of his damage reflected back at him. Half the chapter would have wrecked themselves before they even realised what was killing them. Trinty kind of epitomises the disconnect Warframe gameplay has from most other titles/universes. She pretty much has a power set that allows her invincibility, perfect damage reflect, and infinite energy to cast with, something that would normally be considered hilariously broken anywhere outside of Warframe. And despite that Trinty is a relatively unpopular non-meta pick for most of Warframes content, mainly for the reason that _she does not kill FAST ENOUGH_ to keep pace with the absurd body count the game expects of you. If you can ever make out the face of your enemy in Warframe, rather than it being a 0.14 second blur followed by a blood splatter, you are probably either killing too slowly, or are still in the early game.

Well I think they have an artificial gravity, or they are so distant from the surface that the gravitational pull of the planet make the gravity more similiar to the one on heart. ​@@mysteriousstranger5873im not sure about primarchs. from what we understand of the creation of the tenno and the primarchs, their origins are suprisingly similar. a fully awakened operator would likely be able to go toe to toe with a full strength primarch in terms of psychic prowess. and a similarly upgraded warframe would likely be able to keep up with them physically in a similar way.

Mostly, it depends on where you "stop" the powerscale. Eg. if you take lv 9999 grineer or sentients on steel path as the "canon" strength, then I do not think a primarch stands much of a chance. And the lore-versions where eg. Grendel can eat an entire planet (instead of just 5 dudes like in the game)? Forget it. But your average frame fight around lvl 150s? You want to hear the craziest part? The Tenno during the old war were pretty much warrior gods, even compared to the unreasonable threat they were up against. The Grineer wouldn't even register as enemies, it would be more like how a Naval ship views insects. Not only did she create a pocket dimension, but the remaining spectre version of her was capable of turning back time indefinitely in order to not die. in the new adventure we play as a grineer and he was able to lift a gun called Grattler which is quite big and shoots explosive ammunition also in the game the grineer are able to jump quite long. so the grineer are pretty strong in general

Also add to that, warframes can only carry archguns like the grattler if they equip it with a gravimag that compensates for atmosphere and gravity. So it is cannon that Grinner are phisically stronger than warframes.

Gauss would definitely be able to take on an entire Space marine chapter. He is really fast and and pretty much immune to most of the 40k human arsenal. He would run in, flash freeze anyone on a molecular level and just obliterare anything with his signature weapon which a rapid fire micromissile launcher, that supposedly is plasma rockets. Basically a bolter rifle but tuned up to the heavens.

The Grineer were not soldiers, but rather labor clones created by the Orokin because said creators considered machine intelligence to be "blasphemy". The Orokin were masters of genetic and cybernetic engineering, and the Grineer even with the degredation they’ve suffered from possibly 1000 years after the end of the Old War are still extremely strong and deadly to anything that isn’t a Tenno (and in numbers, they're still deadly to them). Also, it takes a lot of time and investment to make a Spartan (even a Spartan-IV) and Space Marines have a relatively low success rate for their creation. The Grineer? They get pumped out like they're going out of style. You'll never fight just one Grineer. If you're lucky, you’ll go up against a squad of lancers and troopers with possibly a bombard or heavy gunner for support. If you're unlucky, you'll face a whole platoon.

​@@joelrobinson5457 Nah, Tenno can't die, the Tenno revive mechanic is just the Tenno telling reality that he/she didn't die and he/she was sitting in his/her chair this entire time. Overloading Warframe's would destroy the frames though. That's the in-lore reason why we can't have infinite revives in one mission. Before you could say Mirage, she's most likely an Umbra. The Lotus is crying over a Warframe. That's the only plausible reason why she blames herself over a Warframe. Remember: Rell held back the Man in the Wall for Millenia. (Necrathene description says it takes a Millenia to form one) and Rell held him without feeding on others. As for Yareli, Grandma can control a Necramech. Grandma also knows about Yareli. Yareli isn't controlled by a Tenno in her comics, it was most likely Grandma.

When we talk about warframe we must distinguish between a Tenno controlled one and a self controlled one. Most of the self controlled ones had unstable mind though. That's why when tenno went to sleep the warframes became stuck or captured. And why warframes died but Tenno did not.

Another thing that should be taken into account is that the clones we fight are the degenerated versions of the original Grineer troopers. So they are probably weaker than the original versions that would have been fought during the height of the Orokin Empire.

Seeing there are 50 different warframes at the moment, it's more about what kind of kill team do you want to send into the field. Some can solo an entite chapter on their own, others will need to be deployed with a proper squad to fight.

Limbo steps one foot into the the Warp and hes dead ripped to shreds by Horrors unimaginable or worse. Many Psykers can and do manipulate time, Necrons dude it on a daily basis. And again you clearly do not understand the insane feets the Astartes perform all the time. They are literally demigods and im not even going to talk about the Custodes, Primarchs or Greater Daemons. Astartes conker entire solar systems will the Warframes and the Tenno barley survived the fall of the Orokin empire an empire that would be destroyed by the full might of the Emperium of man in days. And then theirs exterminatus and dozens of other planet destroying tech that exists in 40k.

I kinda want to mention this and some extra research should be done on them but the warframes were originally meant to fight a different faction entirely being the sentients. A group of creatures originally meant to terraform new planets for the Orokin across the void to live on but after some stuff they gain self awareness, they would adapt to the void and come back to murder everyone. Through this practice of adaptation they would come close to killing everyone in the original system till a few things happen being first the creation of prime warframe (this being the elite version of warframe) and second 'spoilers' the return of a ship full of kids who can control said warframes. Which I think a comparison of the Sentients to Tyranids would be a better and explain how warframes could probably stand up to your average space marine.

Thrall created a spectral unkilable Ghost Robot thing that fly over a individual that send ropes to control their body like marionettes, so it not control them by takeing over their mind but their body, this ability even works on Robots, Warmachines, and other spectral creatures. Wow Warframes are like the equivalent of Destiny's Guardians in their home universe with all these abilities they have. Some move extremely fast and have insane strength from what I can gather including against some serious level threats. Warframes against Guardians may be a interesting match up though I think Guardians may be stronger due to how some of them become relative or surpass world ending threats like Oryx the Taken King and soon to be coming Witness the current top alpha of the Darkness faction leading all it's fleet of pyramid ships which can exist outside the galaxy for thousands of years with no issue.

And like Wukong's passive makes it so that when he dies he gets fully revived and gets a buff, for example turning invisible, turning invincible, increased elemental damage, elemental resistance and more. He can do that 3 times, so basically he has 4 lives, that's without talking about his abilities. 1. He can clone himself and his clone will hold a melee if he has a ranged weapon and vice versa, it also teleports back to him if too far away. 2. He turns into a really fast invincible cloud for a couple seconds. 3. He gets a staff, turns invincible, does a spin attack and gets armor (defence) based on what he hits ore how many things he hits. 4. He gets a staff that can grow and shrink (u know, like wukong) So yeah, he doesn't die very easily...

Valkyr would easily manhandle any Space Marine chapter that isn't composed of Psykers.(Heaviest armor in the game) Nyx would simply be confused for an avatar of Tzeench due to her mind abilities. Garuda would be mistaken by an avatar of Khorne(blood related abilities). Volt would make short work of any AdMech marines and vehicles due to being able to effectively short everything. Nidus would give the Tyranids a run for their money. Infestation-based. Likely to be confused for an avatsr of Nurgle. All warframes are tainted by the Void and draw power from it, which is similar to the Warp in functioning. They require a station to enable their functioning(Heart of Deimos), and will go down or become feral without an Operator.(The Sacrifice, Vitruvian log) Their operators are tainted by the void and could give in to the Warp and Chaos.

These base level warframe enemies have nowhere near the agility of a Spartan or a Space Marine. To say they're budget Space Marine is an understatement. How powerful are Titanfall 2 weapons Pilots use compared to real life guns? I used to be able to play the game alot and it was alot of fun and like the way the weapons were designed and sounded like when used. i would consider warframes not just supersoldiers, but effective a two man supersoldier team in every frame you see in the field. the physically modified and augmented soldier who is rendered to superhuman abilities and nigh unkillable. and then godling which allows them access to reality bending levels of power. both of them working in tandum to be a whirlwind of death

After that I’d give the imperium.. maybe a couple of days before terra becomes a keymind, thus seeing the fate of 40k. It really all hinges on wether or not the flood is discovered and eradicated before it reaches the coordinated phase.

yeah, kinda hard to rank warframes when depending what warframe youre fighting they might be able to attack you with the CONCEPT of cutting things or shrug off all your attacks through cosmic energy imbuing them with literal invincibility. Lazguns in 40k suck but most even chaos space marines admit "whoever talks shit about them has never crossed the battlefield with a thousand aiming at them. Okay, but rhino would do that no with zero problem lmao. And thats the warframe who can cause temporal distortion not because he has time powers, but because he just stomps the ground that fuckin hard. Warframes are hax bro

Fun fact the grineer were the hard labor worker class of the empire, and in the past, they were even more durable than they were present. So that's putting a perspective on power scaling. Same for corpus, they're the merchant class in the enpire

For reference anybody from warhammer or halo that attacks revenant using mesmer skin can be enthralled for no additional energy cost meaning that even if you throw the strongest members of either verse at him you just make him stronger and also keep in mind that any damage the warframes are causing is completely one sided as even if they managed to destroy a warframe *SPOILER ALERT* the actual tenno isn't in the warframe and homeboy is still just chilling in the ship and a quick trip to the foundry and three days later you got yourself another brand spanking new warframe which is the real kicker, that all of this destruction is being caused by the equivalent of an unmanned drone

Tenno easily just revive the warframe until they're too stress out to control the suit anymore. The max they can revive is 6, everytime the warframe takes so much damage tenno stress out to recover none thing but void to fix it. 6 lives killing machine

@@TheDragonfriday They can actually self-revive without consuming any of those 6 charges with the Last Gasp waybound ability (basically a passive effect that can eventually be unlocked and used at no extra cost), and they can do so as many times as they want. The only limitation is that to do so they need to kill a certain number of enemies while in their Operator form under a soft time limit. They can also use Sentinels equipped with the Sacrifice precept.

Now another question, what about necramech, not the one use by the player but npc who is in the isolation vault, they can't be damaged if the weak spot and have great mobilty, but still i thinks than some space marine can kill one, (except if it's a voidrig with the turret mod active) i now want to know other people opinion on this

Necramechs are kinda weird in Warframe, in the sense that they're basically brute force with much much less manipulative nuance than the Warframes. Warframes are like Touhou characters. From a lore/in-universe perspective, their powers are typically overly vague in how exactly they work, and pretty much treat reality like a meek suggestion rather than a law. Their feats are crazy, and their limits rarely defined. They have so many strange and diverse powers, that they can frequently bypass any other fictional universe vs universe scenario almost without needing to fight. The Necramechs however, actually feel much more like something you'd find in 40k. They're big, tough, and bring more firepower to the fight. They work in terms of gameplay mechanics, simply because they are given bigger numbers, but from a narrative perspective, it's a little difficult to justify them. This is also where Warframe's level scaling based gameplay makes the discussion tricky sometimes. Since a level 1 Skana (starter sword) will cleave through an early game Grineer like butter. Yet a fully modded maxed out end game weapon, might barely tickle the "same enemy" with a few hundred "levels" added to it. If we brought 40k into Warframes gameplay as enemies, this is sort of like if you could cut open "level 1" Space Marines with a regular sword during early game, but later on your primarch relic Thunder Hammer is just bouncing off those regular guardsmens helmets because they're "level 300".

Well, they are tough, but outside a huge firepower it's nothing special. I'd say if the Marines doesn't fight it head-on, they can take it down with zero to little casualties.

currently there 2 frames that can amass legions of soldiers (well 3 with Inaros but with kavats (primal cats) made of sand, Revenant can mind control an enemy and if they damage another enemy enough, that enemy is automatically mind controlled, keep in mind that they can still use their standard gear meaning a space marine would have to fight mind controlled space marines. Then the necromancer himself, Nekros, while revenant can mind control enemies, those units still die. Nekros on the other hand can revive fallen corpses, make them use their gear normally and can supply those undead units with unlimited health as long as he as energy to do so in an Ideal scenario Tenno would stick together in squads, having one of these 2 would ensure numbers isn't a problem for the tenno side. It gets even wilder when the frames start buffing eachother

a more interesting comparison imo would be between the Orokin empire (before the collapse) against some other scifi civilization for sake of the hypothetical, lets say Tau and the Origin system get teleported into the starwars galaxy - how would they fare against the empire?
