Thanks for the brief explanation at the beginning. I stopped playing Warframe shortly after Fortuna and have only returned recently. The things that used to be second nature and I learned from Dev Streams have long since been forgotten. Simple things most KZbinrs gloss over such as something as simple as where to get a Tranq gun. Those are the types of little things most KZbinrs assume their audience already knows but are things returning players may have long since forgotten.

@@Pupsker I know and I appreciate when you and other do. I was gone from the game for what, 3+ years? So much has changed. I had the hardest time figuring out what the hell was a Necromech and where did I get one. Then I learned about the grind for it and just bought it with platinum ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I wasn't willing to do the grind for a game-mode that still doesn't appeal to me. The K-Drive thing was a fiasco since it took watching multiple videos just to figure out how to summon a K-Drive. One nice KZbinr, as an aside, said "do this when you're ready to start using your K-Drive." So friggin' simple but something I may have known but certainly forgot. And don't get me started on Railjack, something that looks fun but I can't even get past the first mission and keep failing since the game doesn't really explain what I'm supposed to do. And my understanding is DE pretty much abandoned Archwing. But, while I figured out how to equip an Archwing, it was not immediately intuitive on how to dismount from an Archwing until I found another KZbinr, again as an aside, said "do this to dismount."

Ivara Sleep Arrow, or even better Equinox's Rest ability. Do this at night on the plains to capture Kavats, you don't even need to bother with the tranq rifle, Kavat's always "meow" as you fly past them and they show up on enemy radar as they will attack you. This also applies to Kubrodons on Orb Vallis, as they Roar when you fly by. You don not need to wait for spawns! There are certain areas that you just keep farming as things re-spawn if you go a certain distance and come back, this also applies to Thumpers. Fly away, and come back instantly. For Kavats the far right boarder of the map, for other critters, the far left near the dead shark thing. I haven't free ranged captured many critters on Orb Vallis since the change, as I recently came back to WF. I would just go to where the Tranq Rife tells you to go and search. I'm sure there are spots like on the Plains where you can force spawn them.

@@thedoomslayer5863 Wow super necro lol. I haven't played WF in nearly 8 months. But to answer your question Rest is much faster than Sleep Arrow. There are other reasons but my old brain can't remember them now. Give it a try, I used to use Ivara for this but found Equinox to be better in every single regard, at least on Earth.

I was vaguely aware of this conservation thing but I didn't know it could be used to farm standing, looks like i'll need to head to Fortuna and grab myself a tranq gun. That marker has been out for a few weeks, I noticed right before PS came out. Its so easy on the plains at night getting the vasca cats. you can hear them too. kill the little kuaka things instead of tranq. they dont give much rep the the loot they drop (claws or talons or something) is usful in tons of stuff.

you can also sit by the gate and look around the area while aiming the tranq gun, creatures will commonly spawn usually the bird or rat creatures tho

Im still new ish to the game, but in cetus I like to do it at nigh, it spawns a lot of kavats, and also just like to follow the edilon for the lil dudes for the cores for the quills, you can also just focus those for a whole night cycle and you could get up to 100 lil cores. Also for fortuna you can do the same thing(hunt down animals with the tranq gun) its what I've found to be the easiest way for a slolo player/new player so you can start lvling your standings

I'm not sure why no one has talked about this, but hunting is easier than ever not because of the new markers, but because they added ALLY HIGHLIGHTS in the accessibility settings, which works on animals. The other thing, do not hunt on Deimos for rep. it is the worst possible way of getting rep for Deimos

Also, if the player can do it the level 40-60 deimos bounties before Mr 30 should give enough tokens to max standings

It's important to also note Kavat's and Kubrodon's show up as enemies, so stacking enemy radar is a good idea. These two generally give the most daily faction.

Plain of Eidolons are much easier in night time. It spawn rare kavat and less hurdle from attacking grineer

Oh wow this is much better than when I did the plains rep grind....you could get lucky back then and still get your daily standing quickly but this addition is nice.

You can also do the same for fortuna or do mining at fortuna for standing, I would also recommend doing at night in the planes a lot of kavats spawn all around

You can hunt in fortuna now too I think it was not possible to achieve high standing numbers from the hunt but now it's awesome

Yeah Cephalon Symaris is odd. Targets can appear randomly on maps, and you can go to Simaris for a specific target as well (for more standing)

The thing about simaris is that his targets appears at random planets however, once one of the targets shows up, the others will be on the same planet as well, just in different nodes. Better if you run point a to point b missions as you will most likely run across those pesky targets

I did that long time ago for ostron. For me best way is to go in the night and farm cats. If you are lucky and rare animals are spawning often you can finish in less than 5 minutes.

For a perfect capture do you have to approach them while invisible then sleep them or can they spot you and you sleep them anyway.

@thedoomslayer5863 I tend to fly above them (the show up on mini map) then melee and go invisible as you're falling. As long as you don't land on top of one they can't see you and you can perfect cap every time. Leave your range at about 100 or ore to keep the sleep bubble big enough to hit everything and a bit of duration and strength too.

I use an Equinox built for as much range as I can get and just use her 2 to put animals to sleep. I find it easier to use than Ivara’s arrow

well huntings is nice and all but you need to mine or fish once few ours and then just pay daily rep and with this you need to hunt every day. And you dont get any resources too.

I’m really hoping somebody can explain to me why I should farm standings? I only have about 60 hours played and the items you get from standing do not seem like they’re worth the grind whatsoever

Its a "chore" but thats warframe in general. You want to be maxing out your faction ranks then farming standing because they put everything in there for a reason. Cetus has 2 standings to farm both useful. Cetus has weapons you can craft and customize, but require some more ingame knowledge to understand why you would be what. But zaws are still incredibly strong AND you can get them very early, on top of this there are very useful mods as your understanding of how the game works grows. The other cetus standing is for your amps/operator, -ALL- relevant end game content requires an amp sooo... yeah. Fortuna ups it even more, more companion mods, more companions, more customizable weapons (kit guns are also very very good for how early you get them) and of course more operator/amp stuff. Deimos, you guessed it follows the same trend of offering basically more of the same but different. You have kit gun parts that now let you make primary weapons, you have mods and arcanes that are all very useful. On top of all of this. Bounties past cetus are usually very worth doing. To give some perspective you can get a uncommon reward of 2000 endo. Thats 2 rounds of arbitration in one reward. There are also arcanes, lens and blueprints to consider. In short, this is the content in warframe and if you're not doing it you are hurting your progress and missing out on uniquely powerful things that all make you stronger and more able to take on more content.

The standing has a max cap per hour. When you hit your max standing, you need to wait until the next day to do so.
