A lot of time I get frustrated over youtubers losing units that could've been saved if they played more safely etc. But after watching so many of your videos I realized that you've lost the battles but consistently wins the wars where I win battles but often lose the campaign. You have Spetsnaz in your choppers. As long as you keep the spetsnaz alive, you can lose the chopper and get it back. It's classified as a transport. You could have started clearing the town in Elena with those and been a semi-permanent thorn in the side of any reinforcements.

BTW, Climb Mount Narodnaya is a resemble to Peral Harbor, which was coded "Climb Mount Niigata". The thing is, Mount Narodnaya is only the highest mountain of the Urals, not Russia, hence USSR. So the code would probably be "Climb mount Elbrus"

The attack helo regiment from the kuznetzov would have likely been a better choice for Gobo, the Kokon and Kokon-M missiles from the Mi-24P and VP can destroy the Kyu-Marus much more easily than the D's Fletyas and their faster as well which makes CV sniping much easier, you also could have bought the helo recon company for I think 5pts which would have helped out.

Vulcan-Use helos to capture sea zone to collect additional political points, just for them into the zone for a turn. Also pay close attention to what battles you fight first capturing an airport will destroy any plan assigned there.

Man just one recon helicopter would've made that battle so much less painful. Well done regardless, but some recon definitely would've helped you find those CVs better.

Combined VDV and Heli strikes are good in this campaign - you can drop VDV almost anywhere and support with Mi-24`s. And as someone already mentioned - Spam train ahead. Thanks for this content Vulcan.

Nice start Vulcan. You got a new subscriber. The US Navy and ROK Navy will come in later on in the campaign along with US Marines. Make sure you prepare your naval forces for that. Also, use your Minsk Marine Brigade to do amphibious assaults while your land forces move in from the west. Capture naval sector Quebec for 5 additional points. Finally get a SEAD squadron along with a CAS squadron for your land forces.

hell yeah, this is my fav campain in red dragon, the 2nd korea war is a close 2nd. i would go for the futher away airfields first as the clorer a easlier to take with land renforcements

For people like myself who are a little less bold, you can place a FOB bottom right in Alpha and hold it quite easily. Send your rec units to the buildings north and south so you can see any pushes, and always station at least 1 Mi over the FOB for defence. If you are fast enough you can turn off all of the ATGM's and save them for the heavy tanks. Try to flank the heavy tanks or even get behind for easier kill shots as the front armour is strong enough to shrug the ATGM's off, and only about 1/3 of those missiles will hit to begin with. If you are going this path then your enemy is the clock or the losing your CV. In many ways it's better to let them keep spamming in units so you can get total defeat within the time. 4000 points of units is a lot to kill within just 20 minutes after all. Laslty, as many said, empty your heli's where possible. You can loose them and they get replaced next battle as they are "transports". Very angry, in many ways stronger than even the spetnaz they carry, and highly destructive transports. It's a great time going back and seeing the old videos and looking forward to more progress being made on Warno.

I think to win this campaign, you have to use the (can`t retreat > destroy) trick very often.

4.39 'Russia invading Japan, what the hell's going on there'. I have only been here about 10 minutes and was looking for videos about Mount Narodnaya and chanced upon this game so had a look to see what it was about. But from my sketchy research of things eastern-I think the game may be based on real world events and real battles for the Islands and some lands to the east. But I did not know of USA support for Japan.

The spam is real in this campaign. The Japanese just constantly banzai charge you, play as defensively as possible.

And the Soviet part is basically lots of helo rushes. It's like cancer vs cancer. It is quite posiible to win this campaign in like 3 days, just with the drops right onto the airfields and helorushing them to victory.

The only way to win this game is to exploit the AI weakness! The campaign turn requirements force you to move fast and take minimal losses.

Hi, I understand your points and have to agree unfortunately. Its just that I find it less interesting to see exploiting of the game system rather than something that resembles a proper battle. Just a personal opinion.
