At 24:39, you declare a charge and ask if he would like to Overwatch. This is wrong. The Overwatch can be used only when an enemy unit STARTS or ENDS a Normal, Advance, Fall Back, or Charge move. In this case, the charge move occurs only if the charge roll is successful. This seems to be a common mistake.

I think you can only overwatch once per player turn, so either during enemy movement or their charge phase.

at 33:22 the Goliath Rockgrinders 'Demolition Charge Cache' has Hazardous keyword and the Blast Keyword It should not of been able to attack units (The Destroyers) in engagement range, and due to Hazardous should have taken a check to take 3 mortal wounds

That's one of the differences between Combat Patrol and the regular 40k data slates. In Combat Patrol the Cult Icons (which is where that function comes from) don't actually do that.

I'm so excited about Combat Patrol, but haven't played it yet. As a gaming pairing, you two look like you are getting exactly what I want from 40k, thirtysomething years later. More GMG Combat Patrol please :) 1.Do you guys reckon that two-player games with two Patrols per player will work? Some not too complex clarification about how specific rules affect opposing forces/players/patrols etc should do it I hope. 2.Do you reckon that Combat Patrol will work as the gaming part of a Crusade campaign? I love the idea of of a low cognitive load campaign like that, more about the stories that unfold, than the bookkeeping of lists.

1: I think it will work totally fine. 2: I think for kicking off the campaign Combat Patrol works perfectly, the only issue will be some of the characters have lighter stats than their actual rulebook versions or missing skills, so I’d keep the names and ‘level them up’ for the subsequent games when you’re playing the 1000pt starting amount recommended for Crusade!

Sadly the Abberants cannot ride the Rockgrinder in Combat Patrol, as the Transport keyword (and the transport capacity) has been removed, i assume as part of the Combat Patrol balance. They did forget to remove Firing Deck from it which makes it confusing. What a fun match. It seems like most Combat Patrol matches ive seen do have big swings back and forth, but the important part is to play the objectives, as always.

Brood Brothers means you can take some Guard units, and no more than 1/4 of your points. Older style allied detachments are (fortunately/unfortunately) no longer really possible

Realised that you can’t actually transport anything in the rock grinder (in combat patrol) despite it having a ‘firing deck’ it doesn’t have the transport keyword.

Played a Combat Patrol game yesterday (easily best thing to happen to 40k) with the Necron. The Doomstalker feels OP. Probably needs its AP or D reduced.

Rapid Fire 2 on the Seismic Cannon does not double the number of shots, just adds 2 shots. That being said, this was a highly enjoyable game to watch. Great bants.

They can’t use the grenade ones, they don’t have the key word! That key word is removed in a combat patrol. :)

The 'lists' were just the 2 Combat Patrol boxes. The only lists for Combat Patrol are as-is.
