Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 On Steam Deck

We need to waiting for official support and verification from producers. Maybe they add support for FSR 3.1. I saw that this functionality gives a huge performance and Space Marine 2 has a 40 FPS with this technology.

Lossless scaling will run this at 2x, I suspect, but maybe not 3x due to artifacting. It’s right on the line tho. Games that run like this on launch usually receive coding optimizations in updates that put it over the top. If you only need 5-7 fps I bet you’ll get it eventually. The devs team will push it across the finish line, given time. But you need lossless scaling to run this at launch. A 7,000 or 8,000 series chip might run this lossless 3x right now, but the Deck is a little slower & that’s why I’m thinking 2x only. But you’d be pushing 50 fps with lossless 2x.

Lossles scaling doesn't work with steamOS.

@@Ggumas that’s why I installed windows on a steam deck which is very easy to do. Also, it won’t matter to a person who is deck only, but IF you are a multi pc gaming device person, Steam storage is fully swappable. If you installed this game using a memory card on 1 pc windows gaming device, it would immediately work with all of your additional devices no further download required. I could run this on a bunch of windows devices using only one memory card, & then just check out how it runs on Steam windows using lossless scanning as something done just on the side. lool.

I’m gonna wait until this game get a steam deck verified then i will this game for my steam deck and i have no problem of waiting its not the end of the world yet 😃

Yikes, this needs some updates very badly. That is definitely unplayable.

It should, yes. The developers have confirmed that they are supporting the steam deck and Linux users are able to play the game
