Woot, Rurikahn is a Blood Angel fan. Me aprrove. For Sanguinius. The only criticism I have is this early access release, which sucks for us if we don't wanna shell out more for the season pass & admittedly very cool steelbook physical release on consoles. Focus couldn't help themselves, I guess.

I remember that Space Marine codex wow that brings me back For me its a 11/10 campaign, co-op missions are all great too. I played solo on Veteran and really enjoyed the difficulty. PvP only having 3 maps is my biggest disappointment

Only issue I have so far is the "Joining Server" forever problem when trying to play with friends. Sometimes it works for several missions in a row, other times it will break after one mission and neither of us can rejoin the host.

This game runs so smooth and steady! The story is interesting, the settings, graphics, frame rates, coop, single player, combat and PvP are spectacular!!! The combat is addicting and I can tell you now, no shooter is like this, this rises above! One great thing is the two instances that almost got repetitive transitioned into newer enemy types l, moves, etc, then before you would lose some interest, you feel accomplishment and change in the story and the ending approaches and it’s just wonderful!

Ruriview would be a great name for a series retrospective or looks back at older titles. I don't know if there's a similar saying in Portugal but in America there's this saying "Looking back in the rearview" in reference to like looking back at your past like looking at the road behind you when you look through your rear view mirror in your car. Ruriview would have so many layers to it.

32:55 the audio thing is better if you turn "dynamic range" down in audio settings. on "large" I could barely hear the chainsword in my hand, but on "small" it sounded normal.

Actually, it is very believable that a Space Marine can roll in power armor. The way the suit is built, coupled with the inherent genetic manipulation of a Space Marine, makes it so the armor acts like an extra layer of skin for the Marine. There are cyber attachments/augments placed into a Marine’s body that makes the suit respond to a Marine’s movements naturally. Various books describe Marines moving so fast and nimbly that they appear blurry to normal eyes.

That would be a lot. To make it so every chapter with abnormal body anatomy gets represented in the game? When there are SOOOO many different chapters with different evolutionary features? That’s a lot. And you know they can’t just do Salamanders. Because if they do Salamanders, then people would want accurate Wolves, or accurate Scars, etc.

@@CephalonAxii They have a Space Wolf and a White Scar in the game already. The Captain is a Space Wolf lineage Primaris and your Sergeant is a White Khan lineage Primaris. Salamanders would be easy to do considering they already plan to expand at least six chapters with unique armour pieces from the kits.

@@Vulgarth1 No, I know. But they aren’t entirely, ACCURATE. White Scars have a bunch of extra decals as per their culture. Space Wolves have literal fangs in their mouths due to their evolution. What I said was, it would be A LOT to make every chapter 100% accurate to their lore, down to their evolutionary features like pitch black skin color or lengthened canine teeth. Because there are a LOT of chapters.

Yeah, I played in Veteran solo. It was a nightmare. Its really not balanced well if you are playing alone. Which imo is not a good thing. The last difficulty is near impossible unless you are playing the campaign with as 3 friends. The NPCs that are following you ? 100% useless. Not only do they do nothing, but they keep running in front of your aim all the time, making sure you cant see the enemies well enough. The multiplayer is absolutely amazing tho, the PvE one.

Other than some balance issues, connection bugs and no ability to join multiplayer lobbies that do not contain your selected class, it's pretty good. Been playing since release, beat campaign and got max level bulwark. Campaign definitely is not the selling point but is alright to have especially if you have no knowledge of 40k like me. Operations mode with the buildmaking is where it's at. They will need to fix matchmaking to find parties that do not have your class because that is the biggest thing that kills the mood especially if you are solo. I give it a 6/10 in it's current state, if they fix matchmaking it's easily an 8/10 and if you have 2 other friends it's already that. If you like the campaign it would be 9/10! I have 1 nitpick in operation mode however. I think it's stupid to hide the armory data and even shuffle it's location in the level while picking that up being the only way to progress your weapon tiers. They should either always give it as reward for clearing the level or still hide the data in dangerous locations as an extra bonus on top of the reward one for clearing it like my previous suggestion. It is frankly annoying to have to look up armory data and gene seed locations for every level and pushes people to learn 1 mission really well and spam grind it instead of just playing.

I played the first one, and even though I beat the campaign in about 8 hours, I had a blast. It was one of the few times I spent full price for a game, finished it in less than 10 hours, and was ok with it because it was just a lot of fun. Unfortunately, my PC would have to play it on low to maintain framerate, so I'll likely wait until I build a new PC and get it on sale sometime next year. Definitely looking forward to it though!

As a warhammer fanboy I have 2 army’s Dark angels and Custodes . I have read the herasy I’m up to date with the book releases I’m at around 240 on Audible I highly recommend the books they are amazing some great voice actors too if you want to know great books I can easily suggest some to get into the story . Dark imperium , siege of Tera series . Gaunts Ggosts , Ravanor and Eisinghorn series too . Infinite and the Divine for some reality bending Necron story. Fabius Bile books too . Mechanicum book and Belasaruis The Great work . All these books are great In my opinion. If Soace marine 2 got you into Warhammer , welcome 🙏 I hope you enjoy reading and learning about the lore . You’re in for a treat. For the Emperor Brothers 👊

I adored SM1 but I just now refunded my prepurchase, I need to wait a few weeks to see how the game 'simmers' to see if most people still feel that it's worth it, given the limited campaign, limited enemy variety and other limited content. If they are aiming for how Mass Effect 3 approached its extremely satisfying multiplayer that also tied in somewhat to the campaign then I'd be onboard, I played ME3 multiplayer for an extremely long time because it had such nice build variety and absolutely satisfying gameplay on top of the substantial campaign and story, which I'm not sure is present here or on the roadmap really.

Preorders got dlc skin for ultramarines, skins for chain sword, bolt rifle and pistol, and season pass for all seasons. So you do get more for preordering except the 4 days early

They did so much right, but at time of writing they have a bug in multiplayer campaign missions where if you die outright, you can no longer interact with Medicae stims, this was on ps5 for me and my buddy crimson on pc

I’m loving the game so far but the lack of PvP maps is kind of insane. Only 3 is extremely lame especially for the price they’re asking. Granted, 3 really well designed maps, each diverse enough and grinding to unlock new guns and skins has been an absolute blast.

Parrying grunts is easy. When I try to parry warriors, it feels like my input is ignored. I see the marker, I hold the button, my armor goes away.

It's weird. With the smaller enemies, you can hit the parry as soon as the blue flash shows up. With the larger ones, you have to delay it a bit so your parry actually lines up with their attack animation more.

Played for a bit on Veteran mode, feel like there needs to be an easier way to recover health instead of just relying on the medipacs. I thought you were supposed to heal if you knock small enemies back and do the instant kill shot in their face, but it doesn't seem to work? I found myself having to get as many executions as possible to keep my armor up, which makes it a bit boring...

Ya that’s the point. You fight in melee and do executions to protect your health.

Gun Strikes don't give you invulnerability apparently, which means you instantly lose the armour-gain if you do it during heavy combat. But you can chain Gun Strikes easier with parries and no-combo Heavy attacks. If you pick your moment right, you can regen your armour far, far more effectively and make yourself functionally invincible.

Had to get a refund. SM2 could barely load, crashed everytime, and never got beyond the opening cinema even at 5 frames *per minute*. Turned settings down and it crashed on settings menu. Twice. My laptop is a 2024 Acer with 16GB ram, intel i5 12450h, RTX 4050, both internal and external SSD. No big deal, I still have plenty of other unfinished games anyway. I'll try again in a few months after the bugs get worked out.

Well this is pretty much the standard, western AAA experience nowadays. You pay 70$ and get either a game that is bad, or a game that's good but there's barely any of it. Very rarely do you get anything more than that. The only devs who still make games worth the premium pricetag are from the far east: Capcom, Atlus, so on. If you want good games that are worth their pricetag the best place to look is towards independent devs. Cheap games with substantial amount of content, and often better than whatever the mainstream companies churn out as well.

It isn't Gears of War. Mass Effect is closer to Gears of War than SM2 is to Gears of War. It's very dishonest to even suggest such an idea. There are ZERO cover mechanics which means the fundamental gameplay aspects of the two games are completely different. Stop calling it something it's clearly not. Space Marine 2 has gore, guns and melee weapons - That's as close as the comparison gets. Silent Hill also had gore, guns and melee weapons, does that mean Space Marine 2 is like Silent Hill? No. You're just kidding people at this point and nobody appreciates a liar. Mark my words, this is not a Gears of War-Esque game. Give your head a shake.

We bought it yesterday and we can't stop playing (unless we're taking care of our kids, eating and doing chores). It is a damn good and immersive 40k experience and I will commend it just for that, Warhammer is one of the coolest settings and it's a travesty there are so little good games made for it. But it's just not worth the price. I am not willing to spend 70 dollars worth of my own money for 2 evenings worth of entertainment, no matter how good it is. Elden Ring is worth 70$. BG 3 is worth 70$. Monster Hunter games are worth 70$. They all manage to be excellent games AND provide substantial amount of content to enjoy. There is no excuse this game couldn't have done the same. Do better, I know you can.

Idk what you’re talking about with “2 evenings”. The campaign is roughly 10 hours. The coop is arguably dozens of hours with all the different classes to progress. And the pvp is another few dozen hours worth of stuff to do. Even speaking conservatively, like 10 hour campaign, 20 hours of coop and 20 hours of pvp. That’s at least 50 hours of content minimum. This game has plenty for the price.

You aren't going to do everything in 2 evenings. This is like someone finishing Low Rank quests in Monster Hunter and saying that it's a short game just because the credits rolled. It's not a 500 hour campaign but there's more to it than what you're saying. Obviously, you consider fighting the same monsters on higher ranks and grinding gear in MH to be "content" so why is it different here?

Hopefully the infinite load screen bug is fixed soon. Can't play on console currently. Every load screen is a dice roll for the bug to hit you. Maybe 1 mission before bug hits.
