It makes sense that they have specific kill moves for Psykers, since pre 'ward heresy' and their subsequent retconning, Phariahs were made by the Necrons to specifically combat Psykers by taking human Nulls and placing them through a partial biotransference to Necron form (although how the Necrons managed to get more human nulls than the Imperium of man is beyond me).

The fun thing with all those sync kills in DoW is that you will never see or notice most of them in the actual game. Only in replays and staged fights like here. Yet, the ranged units with weakass melee attack each have two or three different sync kill animations.

Eternal Crusade has zero funding. It's dead. Steam Workshop is it's only potential for salvation to give more power to the passionate community (and there is a very passionate community surrounding around the game; not necessarily because of what the game is, but because of what it could have been; they want to help make the game successful; it's admirable). And it isn't necessarily the Dev's fault; corporate Bhvr cares more about Dead By Daylight than Eternal Crusade, mostly because Dead By Daylight is making them way more money.

Well avatars are the main anti-bloodthirster units and vice versa so its common there, plus FC are a counter to the thirster so not uncommon, GK do massive bonus vs daemons so often target horrors, most of these syncs are units that commonly fight each other, rather than stuff like scout marines killing monolith with knife sync you'd never see

It's not really "turning it into a statue" but simply landing the killing blow. Avatars are pretty much made of living, molten rock, and when they are killed they basically get extinguished, which is the effect here.

@@Lorgar64 In the same way that a person being shot to death is not due to a bullet's innate ability to transform someone into a corpse but rather due to the damage it does to a body. You implied that the sorcerer used his powers to turn the avatar into a statue which is not quite correct. The result is the same - the avatar's body ends up as dead rock - and looks undeniably cool. But if you look at some of the other kills, it actually does that whenever it dies. It's just better visible on that particular kill.

Hueban It was cool watching it for the first few times but than it started getting annoying. Sync kills were not so bad in DoW 1 but they were trully horrific in DoW 2. The execution just wasnt too good to begin with. Had sync kills been maybe implimented better i wouldnt have a problem with it. My main gripes about it is loss of unit control and it lowers your units DPS. Quite a chunk of people started complaining about it which was the reason why Relic started moving away from sync kills and removing alot of them as well as reducing the percentages of a unit performing one in DoW 2 Retribution. Its a eye candy mechanic that doesnt fit well. Sync kills are something that could have easily been replaced by further investing in Melee and death animations.

The vindicate assassin actually has a melee sync kill. He like hits his opponent a billion times then shoots him point blank with a pistol. Pretty cool considering that would never really happen
