I subscribed for the premium packs as soon as I saw it live the day before yesterday. I’ll be building up my marines and necron forces through Imperium rather than buying kits every month. All the extra armies are a huge bonus for me as I love trying out new models and want to have a small force from every faction eventually, so this subscription is perfect for me and I’m looking forward to getting to see some of the Sisters and AdMech models up close.

Started collecting again this year, been out of the game since the first few months of 5th Edition. Already gathered a reasonable Space Marines army, and this subscription will fill out what I'm missing (besides a Redemptor) I've always wanted to try the other races, so the Premium gifts are fantastic. And Necrons have always piqued my interest so this subscription is absolutely perfect for me. Can't wait to get that Roboute Guilliman as well!

There's some bits in this that I really want to pick up, mainly the sisters as I missed that set, and some of Necron kits just to finish my collection, so will be looking out for specific issues when they come into Forbidden Planet.

This is probably the 4 issue trial run of the sub at the moment, that would explain why its not linked on the main site. They advertise it when it launches properly, which could be another 6 months away.

@@Sup3rSaiy3n Everything points to this being trial stage only at the moment. While we've known something under the title Imperium was coming since December there has not been a previous trial. A leak that was quickly shut down last month from an online magazine vendor listed it specifically as a market trial version with a street date of next Wednesday (10/3/21) for #1. UK partwork national launches are always in the January and August release windows, timed with the end of school holidays. This is currently only accessed by direct URL, a national launch would have it plastered on the Hachette front page along with a national TV advertising blitz. The whole thing they're looking at with a market trial is what ratio physical stock in the trial areas translates to subscriptions from those areas. Sign ups before it even hits and from outside those areas are going to do nothing for their metrics. There have been two approaches they've taken with early sign ups in the past, either the 4 market trial issues have been sent out free of charge with the letter saying that the collection has gone on hiatus or when the response has been big enough that the trial stock produced won't cover it only the hiatus letter has gone out with an offer of the first free issues free when the national launch happens (actually only saving you on the first two since #3 is free to subscribers anyway). I wouldn't guarantee that they will do exactly either of these approaches on any given trial but it's what they've done previously. I'd expect late August for an actual launch on this one. Very likely to go ahead given the success on Conquest and Mortal Realms but only one of the last five comic based partworks Hachette trialled in the UK went to a full release so nothing is guaranteed.

Yep, first folder free, then you'll get charged full cover price for each of the other ones, so that's £8.99, They started including the dividers in Free folder AND the first one you pay for in Mortal Realms, I suspect they'll do the same with this one, assuming mine wasn't a fluke one off, the 2nd folder you paid for didn't have any. The auto opt in was running in the Mortal realms partwork as well, so far, it's 3 novella's making up a white "Leather like" bound trilogy of books, the 3rd part includes a slipcase for all 3.

I don't think it is a reflection of whether or not GW will release new sculpts of those models. More like an indication of what GW can flog to Hatchett to make some profit.

Just like the previous three warhammer partworks, it'll run for 4 issues in selected shops in selected areas, then cease publication, several months later it'll then go on general release across the UK (possible some other selected countries at a later date, no USA due to some laws over there IIRC). This is how Hachette operates with these partworks. Of course, Sup3rSaiy3n likely already knows this, having had a couple of these already LOL!

I dont get the subscription tbh. I don't mind payibg 8.99 a week on direct debit bit it was saying i can subsribe for 35 quid or something and receive 6 issues. Do i then have to re subscribe for the next 6? I didnt get it

Just another quick point. Anyone who subscribes through the site, won't get ANY of the issues until it hits general release, they did that with the Mortal Realms trail run. The only people who'll get their hands on the first four issues will be those living in the test areas able to buy them in the shops, watch them "Scalp" them to hell on ebay starting next week for extortionate prices.

I'm a little torn now that Imperium is coming to Canada. I've been wanting these subscription magazines to come here. It's just that Imperium is probably my least favorite. The mixed Imperium half is a disappointment, I'd prefer if it was just primaris. I already own Indomitous, and if I just pick up the combat patrol space marines box then I have most of the stuff. I'll probably Subscribe for the first few deliveries, definitely want the unique captain, and there's some good deals in the first 14 so far!

Can confirm Hachette are terrible. I ordered some individuals and their website went through some sort of updating issue. So what I ordered (although being put through) was actually no longer in stock and they took my money. It took from August to December 29th (5 months for a refund) to get my refund. Their customer service is terrible the staff seem like they mostly don't give two shits and I have an email chain of nearly 50 emails long of back and forth confirming the refund, then retracting the claim, then claiming they sent the articles. It was a complete shit show. I would recommend finding a company that sources the magazines and ordering through them instead at least then you can either subscribe or buy individual copies and avoid dealing with Hachette.

It's worth noting this is the trial run. They do this with every series, releasing in the North East of England for the first 4 issues then it will shut down again for a few months. If you subscribe now you won't recieve anything, you are basically signalling your intent to purchase the series on release (sometimes they send you the first few issues on release for free if you pre-register, sometimes they say they will then don't, its hachette they're shit). If you want certain parts of the series you are far better off buying the magazines through Forbidden Planet. They are 50p cheaper normally and they only charge postage up to £5.50, so if you preorder the full set or 2000 of the same issue it will still only cost £5.50. Also if you order from FP you will not be able to get premium (honestly these kits feel like a warehouse clearance anyway) but it will also stop them sending out extra addons which they charge you for without asking first, allowing you to avoid the headache of sending it back

They will I reckon. I was able to pick up a copy from WHS in Norwich. So far it seems the trial is based in East Anglia. People have also got issues in Southampton and Hampshire I think.
