Warhammer 40k Lore - The Garden of Nurgle

I love that Nurgle isn’t like the other chaos gods, in that he doesn’t spend all of his time focused on the next battle in the Great Game or the Long War; instead, he rests his weary(and very warty)bottom in a nice rocking chair and chats with the youngins, only ever taking an active role when one of those damn imperium hoodlums starts causing a ruckus. I just imagine him standing up angrily and storming off to the Throne Room on Terra to tell the Emperor to get His kids out of his yard. He’s too afraid to, of course, so he gets Isha to tell him off instead, standing behind her like a kindergartener behind an angry teacher.

Moral of the Story: Pappa Nurgle tried to send a party of Plaguebearers to tell those upstart whippersnapper Eldar to get off his lawn... They did not listen so now they are permanently parts of that lawn.

I’m sure that somebody’s already mentioned this, but it occurs to me that someone truly “gifted” by Grandpa Nurgle would likely break down in tears of bliss at the sight of the garden. To those whose perceptions have been altered by The Lord of All, it would be the unrivaled epitome of beauty and wonder...which would also explain the obscene amounts of joy infesting the whole disgusting area.

Also, on an unrelated note, Nurgle might want to be on the lookout for the Emperor suddenly appearing in his garden. Rumor has it that He managed to reclaim the soul of his son, Magnus the Red, from the grasping tentacles of Tzeentch. (By repeatedly poking the Changer of Ways and chanting “Give me the soul, give me the soul” no less.) If these rumors are at all true, then Grandpa Nurgle might want to keep an extra-vigilant eye on his beloved bride, because if on some whim or other, The Emperor decides he wants Isha for himself...well...let’s just say the garden might suddenly have annoying amounts of gold, light, and High Gothic chanting appearing within it.

Yeah as far as chaos gods go Nurgle’s not that bad. He just like really into entropy it‘s like his really passionate hobby, and he doesn’t really have malice in his plagues as stated as he tries to make them painless. And the fact he actually listens and wants to hear about the exploits of his servants makes him seem like a good leader, I bet he’s even willing to listen to constructive criticism and suggestions from his servants.

Nurgle believes in rebirth. Life, death and the cycle renewed. A positive natural cycle. He's seen as an almost jovial, accepting Dark God. He believes in inevitability instead of conquest and murder. Unsurprisingly, he hates his dark brother Khorne, and rarely marches with him. Even his mortal enemies affectionately refer to him as _"Grandfather Nurgle"._
