Personally interested in making Kult of Speed work because I love the flavor, but it's definitely suffering from lack of decisive muscle on top of no buffs given to Trukks and Battlewagons. I feel like it'll still lean on scary datasheets like meganobz, Gazghkull, and/or nobs with a warboss for the vehicles to revolve around. The vehicles will be decently buffed and get enough mobility to whittle enemies down and tie up what you need to in melee using them to clear the way for the haymaker and call the WAAAAAGH!!!

Oh ya, After re-reading them over the last day or two, Kult of speed is actually pretty interesting. Deffkoptas and BIkes get lots of love and some big buffs, and the Enhancement FASTA THAN YOOZ giving you the ability to move a vehicle, disembark and charge with your unit is almost so good it doesn't matter that the unit doesn't benefit too much from anything else.

I personally love dreads and walkers - I run a dread Ironstorm at the minute, but wish I could give the Dread detachment a go with Orks too. 🤤

As an Ork player who is a fan of Snaggas, one thing I feel like people are missing with Da Big Hunt is that is is amazing for TEAM play. Cuz then you can pair the list into what it is strong against.

I will say, while the detachments do create stat checks, none of them are too egregious aside from the green tide. Bully boyz do have tough meganobz, but aside from that it's not much different than space marine statlines, with still terrible shooting. Dread mob, despite being vehicle heavy only really has 3 guys who have a high(10+) toughness, being the nauts and the stompa. The rest are easily met by average s9 anti tank guns. Add in the mek bonuses, and you'll still see normal infantry too. The big hunt is generally mixed, being both boys and light mounted units, and so a regularish army. Green tide is the pain of just "Do I have enough bullets for this?"

100% about the green tide. I do feel the Dread mob can be strongly complimented with some battle wagons and trukks to over flow the table with some added toughness.

Tau is actually really diverse with there Detachments, they don't have many of them in the codex but they do however get some variety with list creation.

Is it powerful enough to need a tone down? I think we need to see some tournament results first. there isn't anything that is glaringly OP. Those meganobs are super powerful though.

@hyperspacehobbies8400 I'm speaking purely from a comp/team tourney perspective but bully boys and green tide will be top of the "meta" within the next two weeks. Green Tide with da jump and the 1cp add charge distance based off the round with a warboss and 20 boys is madness. The mega nobz are nigh unkillable in cover.
