That GW bastion seemed to be in all the 40k 2nd edition battle reports. It was a great looking piece of terrain. Love what you've done with yours, a nice homage to the original. Hope to see it in a few battle reports soon!

Damn straight we all wanted that bastion on our tables! The watchtower in the same theme too! I've often looked for that Ziterdes replica with no luck. You did a lovely job, carry on being awesome and take care 😉

I love the bunker! Watching those minis sit in the background of your table while you are painting the bunker reminds me of my own desk, such unpainted shame.

Haha yeah I will get them all painted one day! Or at least that’s what I tell myself 😂

That's a great piece from Ziterdes (called simply the Bastion), a German based company. They closed down business earlier this year or late last year unfortunately. There were remours long ago that Ziterdes actually made the one for GW back in the day, but I never saw anything solid backing it up. I did click on the video, ready to laugh if you were not aware that the famous Bastion was available for purchase! I 'almost' bought one numerous times. It would have been neat to see you kit-bash some of the turret/sponson bits on the front, etc. Overall though, a great piece from that time when GW battle reports were a treat for the eyes. Their home-made terrain was easily the coolest stuff they ever gamed on.

I had kinda heard those rumours. Would be cool if that was the case. Real shame they are not going now. I must have got lucky with a buy on eBay. Yeah maybe should have tried the turrets but did not have time on my side. I’m still happy with how it came out and will be a great addition to my games 😀

I was kinda hoping for a video showing how to build the bunker itself, since that was in the video title, rather than a tutorial on making rock faces. Still an alright video, just feels like the title was clickbait.
@JonnyWatsonGaming Жыл бұрын
Haha yeah it may be a little clickbaity although I don’t mention making a bastion in the title or thumbnail. It is shit but unfortunately you need a little clickbaity thumb nails to get the video out there. Wish it was not the case myself. I’m glad you liked the video even if it wasn’t quite what you expected. 👍
