Congratulations on the 1000 subs, man. Thank you for making these batreps, I love them. The stormvermins are usually belittled, but people forget that unlike clanrats they can get a +1 combat resolution magic banner, and with a cheap hero with two handed weapon they can charge you with their better movement and finish what the ratling gun started. For their points, also having a Ld10 (General + ranks), 3+ armour save in case you have to sustain a charge is not too bad either. Another unit that goes ignored and for me it's easily one of the best units of the game are the rat swarms: WS 3, skirmishers, movement 6, unbreakable...For 150 pts they can keep huge heavy cavalry units useless for 3 turns and cover insane areas of the game. Also, they don't block the LoS of your weapons! Again, thanks for the games, folks.

What a great game, I love your battle reports. Easy to follow, explanations on rules and a steady camera not giving us headaches :). As a Skaven player myself I would have traded my StV to a cheaper unit but increased the numbers plus another unit of slaves. Alternatively I would have boosted the numbers of all units added another slave unit and dropped the StV. I like them a lot but you needed higher numbers against the fanatics. Also I always give the pistol to my engineers.

Greenskin's big oof moment. When he took his goblin shamen out of formation it was the exact line for the night goblin fanatic to hit and kill him. This game is so cool. Just like real warfare sometimes a simple change at one moment can make or break the entire battle. Gettysburg was won due to slight advantages and mistakes made on both sides that culminated into the worst three days of fighting the U.S. ever fought on our own soil. Verdun was calculation mistakes, errors in observation and clever tactics on the german side which lead to the biggest debacle in British military history. Love seeing the slow burn of the planning Warhammer come through in the videos, keep them up would love to play Warhammer fantasy someday. If i can afford to buy atleast a 1,000 point army (Vampire counts being my pick for my army. Not sure if i like Von Carstein or Von Drak . Bone boys 4 unlife)

Well structured match with superb on-point analysis. The O&Gs army was a really balanced fist punch (waaagh, enduring units, efficient & cheap war machinery). The NGFs were such a devastating spice in this match! Unfortunately, Christoph really didn't have much luck with the dice. Still, I'm glad the greenskins wiped out the rodents =). GG ladz!

Great game, I really didn't expect the game going the way it did. And who would've thought that orcs could outmagic and out-artillery skaven? Though I think there was a small mistake when it comes to shooting the artillery. Like at 56 min when shooting the rock lobber at the warp lightning cannon, which you couldn't do as you didn't have vision of it (at least I don't think you had vision). Warhammer Annual 2002 explains a bit how artillery vision/shooting works.

Thanks mate! So, I could draw a thin LOS to the clan rat unit in front of the the cannon. The annual states that you can target an enemy unit that is behind another enemy unit that can be seen with stone throwers. So I could target it because I could see the clan rats in front of it. at 35:20, Orcs could have tried to dispel Plague with two dices trying to get double 6s. Also, both of your miniatures are on fire, they are looking really sharp. I liked you at MWG but some other dudes were really sloppy with the rules, I'm so happy to see proper 6th edition wargaming!

One thing to note about the Grey Seer and the Screaming Bell, for 7th edition they must have noticed how easy he was to kill so they changed it up, as they gave him a 4+ward save on it (Blessings of the Horned Rat I think it was called) and gave it rat ogre crew with 3 strength 5 attacks, to make it a much more viable and dangerous option...

Fantastic battle and the dice really were not with the Skaven! The only thing I think that could have swung the battle...putting the plague onto the black orcs went it jumped to the 2nd unit, even on 5s & 6s that would have taken enough off for a panic on leadership 8 and then who knows what would have happened.....

Just a helpful reminder that a grey seer is t4. So when the bell rang he would have needed 6s to be wounded not 5s. Didn't make any difference as he passed his ward anyway. So it all ended the same anyway...

The Skaven player might want to take 'Supercharged Warp Power Accumulator' (15 points) on the Warlock Engineer instead of the 'Eye of the Horned Rat' (25 points). As this guarantees an extra power dice and doesn't have a chance to steal one. (And also frees up 10 points to be spent elsewhere. Not to mention not being a magic item and thus leaving more room for different magic items in its allowance.

Ziggety palmed the sweaty mushroom into his hungry gob and enthusiastically chewed the unusually tangy fungus, with a shriek and a spiteful curse he aimed his gnarled staff at the filthy vermin .. nothing .. his tummy rumbled, skin prickled, mouth watered, then a wave like rising vomit grew, his little eyes snapped wide and twin searing blasts of crackling light flew across the field incinerating the enemy. A couple of the night goblins looked at the shaman, a line of saliva hung dribbling from his grinning lips, dim glow fading from his eyes .. silence and awe .. then mad cackles spread through the unit. Burnt by magic, pounded by fanatics, and crushed by the greenskin gods, dead skaven littered the battleline .. observing the failure of the skryre engineers to harness the winds of magic, a sneer curled the whiskered albino muzzle of the grey seer perched atop the weathered bell, uttering a blasphemous queekish incantation his staff struck the tarnished bronze once .. The great horned rat answered the cry of his most favoured, air boiled and grew fetid, diseased miasma engulfed the goblins, their mad cackles turned to coughing and retching, organs liquified, eyes buldged bleeding amid gurled gasps leaving almost half their number dead and dying, convulsing in the death throws of vile plague. Woof! What an opening to a game, what a treat, thank you for the batreps. Love the easy going friendy fun games, this is my kind of entertaining hobby time.

Great Idea and the best Version on Warhammer. By time, unusual list for me as a German player (Skaven with 12 ED are a way of …. I don’t know). In the end , the weapon team Panic into the fanatic and you say “he died by contact of an enemy. That’s wrong , units running through them an getting hitten. What you mean is “sitting on a Fanatic, f.e in the skaven players turn he could move with his slaves on the fanatic the units get hit with 2D6 hits and dieded. Another thing , please check it , if it’s a route in 6. or 7. if a unit is in close combat, there are immun to psycho (not sure an please check it) so they don’t need to make panic test (because there are in action and don’t realize it). I don’t understand the skaven player why he don’t shoot the fanatic which the rattling. The guys pinned him in a corner.

6th edition did skaven dirty! The Stormvermin got nerfed (from which they never recovered), the Screaming Bell was just bad and Doomwheels and Verminlords were removed from the book (they got citadel journal rules). Gutter runners were also nerfed, but that was, arguably, justified.

Again a nice battle report in the world of whfb 6th edition :) What I really like is that neither you nor any of your opponents took unbalanced lists so far. This makes watching the games much more enjoyable as you put more emphasis on the roleplaying character of the game. Also wonderful idea with the spell cards - Did you write them yourself or can one get them somewhere online?

In 6th Ed there is a rule called 'Parry' that adds +1 to your armour save when armed with a hand weapon and shield.

Warp fire throwers scare the hell out of me, only one has gotten to shootbagainst me when ibwa playing lizards, but it literally killed something like 13 saurus or more in a single shot, which then made the block of spear saurus leg it! Can be bloody lethal things.
