In this 2000pts 6th Ed batrep, The Blind Prince leads his forces to a site of ancient power, preparing to summon a greater Daemon of Slannesh into the Old World. Against his fathers wishes, Dwarf Lord Borek marches from Karak Hirn in opposition, bringing with him powerful runes of binding.

Suicide Duane at its best - I know, not having played many games in 6th edition does not help, but please please please don't charge headlong into Deathstar units (Iron Breakers). You almost always need something to break rank boni (flank/rear charges). So before deciding to make suicide charges try to set up favorable charges with multiple units where you shift the combat result in your favor. This takes some time, naturally. But the movement phase is the most important phase of WHFB 6th edition. The charge with the Chaos Knights was again a (subjective) 90 % loss. The same applies to charging the Chaos Marauders with the Lord in the Iron Breakers. It makes me mad seeing these incredible converted and painted miniatures brought to the slaughter (or laughter?) house - Slaanesh is my favorite Chaos God :D And Stos, it's Slaanesh and not Slannesh ;) So enough ranting about some minor things - And now without much further ado: Thanks for showing the game, your chivalry and the well made content! God it's bittersweet seeing that chaos army in this battle, especially with how great Duane's conversions are. If Duane's gonna play any more, I'd suggest you look at the 7th ed Warrior book for a fairer match up, in my experience it would be a much fairer and closer game. I know Duane posts and browses /whfb/ so he can find the scanned book there if that would be an issue. 6th is the most tactical warhammer game at it's core, but it's so sad seeing the big power differences between certain armies or even the same army but with different builds. Keep on posting, it's good content either way.

Loving these videos, great to get a closer look at 6th edition Warhammer Fantasy. I'm a 5th edition player mainly, but do tend towards house rules/homemade editions of 5th (to reduce the herohammer aspect to a more reasonable level). Have you considered playing other editions than 6th? Have a nice day :)

I appreciate this is the first time you've played my Scenario but once you've played it a few times it'll become more apparent that it plays completely differently to all or certainly most others. I may have missed in your introduction if you explained that the ' only' to get points is via the objectives. Nothing, not kills, not banners, not quarters... matters. So you really can sacrifice units for the cause. It's my favourite.

So Chaos knights come standard with heavy armour, shields and a barded warhorse. Heavy armour 5+, shield 4+, mounted and barding 2+

Exactly that mate. To brake ranks/gain the combat res bonus from a flank/rear charge you have to have a unit with at least unit strength 5.

@@rogueelementgaming will this have been also valid if front attack (lets call it main) was a unit less than 5 and the flank /rear was with over 5? Another question :) Also at a dispel you had two 6s and two 2s it would have been funny if it was two 1s instead of 2s.... neutralizing effect :D

Also, there's no armour save against wounds inflicted by a stone thrower, so picking out the enemy with the best armour save is a sound tactic.... Now, if only he could hit them :-)

6.0 Miners are terrible. They show up so unpredictably and the fact that they can't charge the turn they come in means that they aren't going to be flanking much of anything and the enemy has a chance to pivot and shoot with whatever war machine they're going after or just walk their missile troops a normal move forward and buy another turn of them being useless.

There's a flow chart in the Annual 2003 that gives a detailed breakdown of how units flee and #4 is, Must not come within 4" of enemy troops.
