Within the stony heart of every dwarf there resides a deep and burning desire to reclaim what once was their own, to strike out every entrance in the Great Book of Grudges. To achieve this, they employ a vast variety of war machines and weaponry. Expulsion from the dwarf engineers guild is not just a right of passage but proof of a dwarfs ingenious nature. The fact these dwarves don't take the slayers oath and instead mostly end up in the Empire Engineering colleges until the guild accepts their inventions and asks them back only proves this is part of the rules of the guild.

There was at least one Engineer-Slayer, who kind of ended up combining these two things by inventing a weapon called the Goblin Hewer, that was basically an automatic axe-throwing machine

@@StarSage66 We don't have to imagine it, there is an entire faction like that in Age of Sigmar. The Karadron Skylords, are pretty much what you'd get if the Dwarves leant hard into their technological prowess and weren't being held back by conservatism

The only reason why Warhammer has canons and arquebus, and Renaissance style armies is that GW first published a board game named *Pyke and Shotte* set during the english civil war, which became the basis (litteraly) for Warhammer.

That's a point, why are graveyards allowed to exist in a world where necromancy is a thing?

because necromancy is very rare, and even then the alternative is that the necromancer resurrects them as ghosts, rather then as corpses, not exactly a big difference, next races do protect there graveyards, the empire has a knightly order for it, dwarfs have them built into there hold and do rituals to make necromancy on them harder to do

In warhammer universe, GW decided to stick with plural term for Dwarf as Dwarfs. Funny thing is the word “dwarves” was actually considered minority plural term but because of Tolkein’s small grammatical mistake as he published The Hobbits caused the word “dwarves” more popular plural term. One thing Tolkein somewhat regrets about.
