I've been prepping for 9th ed's Chaos Knight codex since I bought me three whole Knight kits three years ago. When I first saw the teaser, I was admittedly peeved. But when I saw this at the Adepticon stream, the twist was pure bliss and that new models are going straight to my hobby wish list.

Thas a regular knight's barbut with the usual chaos horns though. But I can understand why everything with a T-visor is seen as mandalorian, given those have risen in popularity a lot. ...bet that knight can curbstomp a mando with ease though.

Not this knights my friend. Those are the grey knights, the chamber militant of the ordo malleus. Yes, grey knights helping to save a world meant doom for the inhabitants and combatants of the planet that had seen them. Unless everything is done under tight secrecy, you are doom to die if you have seen a grey knight. Extreme cases are like the first war of armageddon and the resulting months of shame. Read the book The Emperor's Gift by Aaron dembski bowden for a lot more detail. Good book if I must say These knight suits warmachine are meant to be seen unless strategy dictates otherwise

Playing a game is a limiting experience compared to building and painting your own models. Try it. Yeah dawn of war is fun and all but kitbashing some traitor cadians is hella fun.

Honestly I was the exact same way...then I bought a few and there is something fun about putting it all together and painting them up to your desire. Hell the tanks and such come with various options to arm so you got further design and gameplay choices.

To each their own. I do have warhammer and have fallen out of the hobby, too costly and frankly not enough time to waste that amount on the models. There is a lot too building your own models, kitbashing, painting and making each person feel different. Its a lot of fun, as it isn't just the tabletop though a lot of people go with just gray scale armies lol. Video games are great too and have become my primary hobby but again to each their own. The lore is the only thing keeping me in warhammer stuff now.
