you misplayed the corruption mechanic. Befouler's have to be on objectives to corrupt them. So at the end of the first round only the enemy territory would corrupt.

Great game! I was pulling for the Skaven, but guess it's hard when so many of the Idoneth attacks can take a foe out with one hit
