I love everything about this video, so well done and explained. They look great too. I even needed an orange armour tutorial as I'm painting my orks in the theme of "tigrex" from monster hunter so this was perfect. Thank you!

Third time's the charm! Nice to see you try to emulate a style, them make it your own. Nicely done, and I like the contrast between the greens and reds.

Mine aren't nearly as good, but I love them. Since I have to touch up a couple spots, I might try that technique of darkening the more blunt parts of the weapons to add contrast because I dig that quite a bit. I went with brute choppas, mostly because points in a warcry team won't allow for all to wield two handed weapons. (( two at most, besides the Jagged Gore Hacka )) MY armor color was blue backplates and chest plates and armored boots, with red armored knee pads, shoulder pads, tusk plates, and arm guards. The extended "bolted on" metal bits all got silver while the main body of the weapons were steel colored. Again, nowhere near the detail in these guys you've done, but I'll grab some inspiration here when touching them up. Thanks for showing off some techniques!

Hi, me and my dad love watching you paint Warcry war bands and it’s really inspired me to use more contrast paints and experiment more. I’d love to see you paint more Warcry minis like the Iron Golems, Untamed Beasts, and all the others!🔥🔥

Thank you! Unfortunately I already painted those without filming it...and sold them :/

Hi, thanks for replying! I thought you had because you mentioned you had painted them in one of your other videos. I’d love you see you paint the Spire Tyrants or the Scions of the Flame (when they’re released), or any of the other warbands they’ve released the cards for! I really enjoy watching you paint the warbands!👍👍

They look more like orange armor than rusted armor. I painted my Shadespire orks in orange armor so my brutes will also be orange to make a Warcry warband. Thanks for the tutorial!

Thank you! Just started following you. I really liked how you walked us through the process. I’m still on the fence when it comes to Contrast paints. I’m a new painter and they seem to require a lot of brush control. That said, they do make so great effects. Thank you.

Is it possible to darken contrasts considerably by using darker undercoats? For exampl, would gore grunta over machanicus grey be closer to wyldwood?
@TheMiniJunkie4 жыл бұрын
F P could try it but I don’t think it will look good...will probably just look like a flat dark area.

Awesome. Think this skin technique would work on a larger miniature like the Hulk from the new Marvel Crisis Protocol?
@TheMiniJunkie5 жыл бұрын
paradox1995 actually, not very well to be honest - I tried it! Hulk is too big and smooth, it gets quite blotchy looking.

Question what were Vallejo paint used to make yellow for base to orc flesh. ?
@TheMiniJunkie4 жыл бұрын
Yellow ink I believe
@AnemoneLost5 жыл бұрын
Was wondering why you go with the approach of using washes, inks, and contrast paints vs opaque paints even for the base coat? It works great and makes the model look great with less work. Just was curious on your thought process.

Precambrian Jazz partly just to try different approaches tbh.

honest question.. is it ok to borrow clips from other channels? I honestly don't know. Great video, going to steal the yellow under contrast for orcs and other green skinned monsters - I need to get better!
@TheMiniJunkie5 жыл бұрын
I think so! I hope so, as I have more of that in the works. If anyone complains, I'll stop (from theirs). To me we're all one big hobby KZbin community and I'd love to see everyone use each other clips more often and just generally play off each other more. Plus it's always credited and is generally just a very short clip to illustrate something.

Third times the charm, eh? Anyway: how about some gloomspite gitz or skaven for the next warband, unless you did these factions already. In this case: Sylvaneth seems pretty straight forward.

naphaneal I don't have any of the minis at the moment, but it's a tempting faction. That said I did some for the Underworlds warband in a previous video.
