I'm happy that all of the teams will be getting balance updates for casual play throughout the edition. So individual teams going away only effects tournaments. And I'm really excited about solo & co-op.

ya i'm with you. i think GW has a massively inflated idea, of how many people actually play kill team. because they box lock so many new kits for 40k, they perceive this as kill team being popular, but its really just 40k players buying multiple killteam sets, to get the models for their 40k armies. GW has bad data, and is making decisions based on this, which is completely distorting their perception, of how many people actually play killteam. i'm super excited for co-op, and very happy for people to be able to enjoy solo play as well!

I'm looking forward to solo play as a car guy I mainly have car guys as friends so none of my friends play any miniature war games, I've got world of warcraft which is solo I'm just about to prime some of the heroes from that, I've got my kreig tabletop ready and old kill team to go solo. I'm scale model and gundam builder miniatures were for nostalgia and practice at detail brushwork but I wouldn't mind playing at bad moon cafe when I've learnt how to play

ya i havent played blood bowl in a decade, but used to enjoy it. we are going to start a new league soon. currently voting on kill team, blood bowl, or necromunda. i think kill team will win, but would love to see blood bowl also, especially during football season!

I hope the rules are reworked to make it faster to play. I really like the approach GW took with Warcry and hope they can translate some of that streamlined gameplay into the new Kill Team rules.

ya warcry is the perfect example of a skirmish game. it plays very fast and fluid. rules are simple, which means all the strategy goes into list building, and actually playing the game. i like a lot of the different aspects of kill team, but along the way GW lost the script. no way it should be taking over 2 hours for experienced players to play a game with like 10 models

They might’ve perfected the game, but they ain’t perfected their pricing yet, I thought these skirmish games were supposed to be the middle ground to avoid spending out the nose to dip your feet into this hobby, And all they seem to ever be accomplishing is pricing out the kids looking to try the hobby who rely on parents to buy their kits. You could literally buy like a gaming console for another hundred bucks or so, which will keep your kid occupied much longer than it would take to build and paint models they might never get a chance to play with especially if a parent is the one taking them the game stores to play their games and have to hang out all day at the store with them. I fully understand that they’re no longer even trying to target kids but rather full grown adults these days but it these prices how are people working full time supposed to buy these and stay current and up to date lol? I don’t know it just seems like they’re pricing for competitive players and pricing out the casual gamers

This actually kills the game for me. I am not buying into this. I have so many issues with this. I don't like teams getting axed and on some time table. And buying into any season 1 team at this point is silly. Don't do it. I have almost no faith they will keep up on the rules like they promise. I don't know if they can or can not keep 14 teams out and 14 teams in. I don't like having Kommando's getting killed in a year, only to buy Kommando's 2.0 in another years time. just rebuying teams over and over again with new models... I only play tournaments. I can appreciate if you play with friends or have a club then this won't matter much. But this very much effect me and my limited number of games I get in a year. I just don't trust GW any longer to keep things updated, or to keep teams for 4 years. I also think they are lying that they can keep things in stock. Who remembers Karsakins? cause I do...

This is primarily a push for balance in competitive play. It's unrealistic to expect them to keep balance of 40+ different teams with their own special rules and interactions, with even more teams on the way. This is how MTG does it with their cycles, older sets being moved to historic play while newer sets are tournament legal. This way they can keep focus on updating and balancing stuff for the high level play, while keeping the older teams around for casual. Sure, part of it is to push the new products, but do you HONESTLY only have one kill team? Have you seriously not gotten excited about ANY of the new teams that came out in the past 3 years?

thats unfortunate. sounds like a pretty negative take overall, and hate to see people losing the things they enjoy. maybe they will prove you wrong, and likely the game will be better in all aspects. most of the stuff you're complaining about, is exactly what they are talking about fixing/changing. the reason kasrkins were so hard to get, is because they were being bought for 40k, because they were amazing. GW has a massive problem thinking kill team is much more popular than it is, because they lock so many 40k minis behind kill team. so 40k players were buying 3 boxes, to get their kasrkin, and kill team players couldnt get 1 to actually play the game. this is part of the issue with box locked units.
