After how Night Lords and Dark Angel's owned the mini of the year awards. We definitely need a 40k era version of the Thramas Crusade, Night Lords vs Dark Angel's. Decimus leads the newly enforced Night Lords Legion with his superior future sight that rivals Konrad Curzes. While the Dark Angel's are lead by Grandmaster Azrael or Master Lazarus, because The Lion would just be too OP. Lol. If the Night Lords won with just an upgrade kit, imagine what would happen if they got actual character models and their own range. The Chaos Space Marines need a range that doesn't worship Chaos, just pure renegades and none are more popular than the Night Lords.

imo 40K didn't have any model of the year candidates this year. Most of the releases that didn't bomb were upgrade sprues. the kroot are cool but they aren't winning model of the year. I'll go ahead and say 2025 model of the year may have already been revealed. Fulgrim is starting 2025 off hardcore imo. sigmar had so many good releases for centerpieces and range refreshes. It was hard to vote for Ushy because there were so many good ones but I did. The morgryph was my runner up and it didn't even make top 5.

ya it was obviously a great year for sigmar, with the new edition, and so many great kits/models. 40k was def lacking. i do think it got some great models, but a lot of flops as well. with all the new stuff blood angels got, its crazy none of it was in the top 5. that basically shows you that the community was not impressed, by the basic sculpts, and downgrades they received. it was a great year for gamers/painters/collectors, but 40k def was not getting the same level/quality of models as sigmar, and other games. which is actually good in a weird way. i love to see GW supporting everything else, and with fulgrim coming soon, its clear GW hasnt forgotten about 40k!

​@@WarHammerMan Fulgrim is very nice, but those new Aeldari Phoenix Lords and the Aspect Warriors look absolutely amazing! Especially the brand new Phoenix Lord for the Warp Spiders, when that one goes up for sale I'm grabbing it immediately. Lol

no, its the legionaries kit, with an upgrade frame. so old kit, with new upgrades.

Those 40k picks are just embarrassing. I mean, the number one is literally an upgrade sprue for CSM. Compared to what other design teams did this year, this feels like something of a testament to the waning standards of both the 40k design team and the 40k fan base. As a side note, I hate the fact that everything that wasn't 40k or AoS just got lumped together.

in previous years, model of the year was a single model, and included all the games. this year they changed the rules, so it included units, and broke down the "model of the year" into 40k, sigmar, and other. protecting its precious flagship game, from losing 1st place to sigmar. its not that serious, just clearly was done intentionally. i also dont think its a bad thing, but if it was not changed, sigmar would have won, and Ushuron would have been 1st place overall, dethroning, the undefeated record of warhammer 40k.

All of my favorites placed. It’s a sham gw shoed in squad boxes in the first place, as they aren’t a single model, and they do NOT have better sculpts.

My biggest problem is yet again we get a half release with skaven we still have clan pestilence and ninja rat and war machines that are out dated and look horrible next to the new models. I hate the half range releases give us the whole range then your done for another 20 years this was the same problem with world eaters
