Its still GW doing the heavy work even if some of it sucks (warhammer+ for example), new codexes and editions keep things up to date, hotfixes and balances keep things fair(ish), new books flesh out your beloved faction. A lot of recent depictions fall more in line with the crispness of ALIEN or real equipment, and it’s kind of interesting how they mix it with the gothic architecture of ships and cities. I’ve seen the same in an ARMA machinima and Astartes. It’s a sort of more grounded take that still had a distinct Imperial touch to it, and I like it.

They went specifically against those who were making money directly out of the IP, which is something every single company will do. Have they gone against Weshammer? Luetin? Boldemort? No. There is a line where using the IP is not allowed by law and GW was letting it happen for far longer than many other companies would. I am not a lawyer and I won't pretend that I know IP laws of any particular country and how they work. I like the almost retro aesthetic, like the bassy synths and the slightly screen tearing on the monitors and stuff

i love the details/interpretations you added, the brace mechanism for marines, the pilot having a modified armor, transporter variant thunderhawks. the voidships and the landraider also look beautiful, looks futuristic without deviating too much from 40k. good job

I like it. I would have liked to see some dirt, stones, mud.. Whatever in the threads of the Land Raider when it was driving. Anything to break the laboratory like cleanliness. But this video was gorgeous.
