Love this. I'd like my cloth more orange, so I'm going with Wraithbone Prime and pure Gryph Hound. I'm looking for a little more vibrancy (I know they're supposed to be dirty but...). What would be a good watered down shield color over the silver to go with Gryph Hound? Shyish Purple or..? I'm not good at color theory.

Sounds great! The best thing to do with colour theory is to think about what you want the colour to do. Contrast, Compliment or Harmonius. Then look up a colour wheel or Google Search Colour theory. Once you've got the colour wheel it basically works like this: Pick your starting colour in this case Orange. Contrasting Colour = 3 Steps away Complimentary Colour = Opposite Eachother Harmonius Colour = 2 Steps away. This is going around the wheel rather than from the Centre outwards. Does that make sense?

Love this tutorial. I’ve just picked up and assembled a box of deathrattle skeletons, and I’m compiling ideas for colour schemes and the like. But I have been wondering how you mix your paints. Do you use something like a pipette, or just load up the brush, put the paints near each other on the palette, then mix into each other? I’ve never actually mixed paints myself so I’m not sure what the best/easiest method is. If you can offer any advice I would be forever grateful.

Nope, the skeleton's just straight up Skeleton Horde followed by a Pallid Wych Flesh highlight.

I tried the shield mix but the shields came out matte instead of shiny, do you think I mixed to much black into the mixture or what can make the basepaint on the shield not shine through?

Sometimes if the metallic base coat isn’t strong enough it appears more matte than it should. Similarly if there isn’t enough medium in there the mix can obscure more of the base coat. Ways to avoid this is to do at least two thin layers of metallic to ensure that strong base coat or to add just an extra blob of medium over and above what the mix says on screen!

Are these as painful to assemble as I've been lead to believe? (brittle femurs in particular)
