No mention of Gerard Malanga, who was basically the original Superstar - as he worked for Warhol from 1963-1971. Gerard was called by the NY Times, "Warhol's most important associate." Gerard is alive and well in the Hudson Valley region. We just had dinner with him in November. Great guy.

Love the video and subject material. Did you know Lou Reed‘s nickname for Andy Warhol was “ Drella”. Him and John Cale made an album called , “ Songs for Drella”. I had a beautiful cat that I named Drella. 🐾 🐱♥️

Wow, I never knew he had 3 studios, or I knew of 2 locations but not the one between!!! I remember people talking about his Frankenstein movie being shown down at the Fox in Atlanta. The movie was so graphic it made people ill, and combined with the heat, the smell was undeniable. Amidst the stench was a vendor outside selling "barf" cream cones and " barf" burgers, or something to that effect. I was too young to see it, and by the reaction it caused at the time, I've been a little scared to watch it 🤣 Thanks for the info and maybe more on the locations and maybe what were the stages of his career. You know how to peak my interest and thanks for coming back!!!

thankyou for this video, u do a great job creating them! i just started reading warhol's diaries but was disappointed to see how late in his life they begin, maybe there's a part 1 i missed, not sure. what do you (retro room) think of warhol? - youve done a lot of videos about him and the people surrounding him💡🎥

i just love this channel. i love the 70's 80's. are you able to find anything on Potassa de la Fayette. she was mentioned in Biran Belovitch's book transgend. it is an amazing book and i cant find anything on Potassa de La Fayette who warhol did photo shoots on her
