Okay, I like the Wario games more than the Sonic games, but Wario against Shadow... yeah, that ended pretty predictably. Shadow's just another power level above the majority of Mario characters [...as... well as Sonic characters, for that matter]. Wario isn't even the strongest in his own universe, and he's pitted against arguably the most powerful character in the Sonicverse. I love both characters, though. I would have been happy either way. :)

Josiah Schiewe Wario is pretty up there. He’s shown to be EXTREMELY strong for some reason. He is easily one of the strongest in his universe other than bowser but he’s a dragon turtle so that’s understandable.

You're right! I'm kind of surprised I forgot that; I absolutely love the Wario Land games. Given that Wario was back to a health bar in Wario Land 4 and Wario World, I think I just sort of assumed that his invincibility was a gimmick for those two games and wasn't intended to be 'canon' [inasmuch as the Mario series has a canon], just a new gameplay element. However, if Wario is more or less invincible, that definitely evens out the playing field a lot. I think Shadow would probably win for sheer versatility, but Wario has both the strength and defense advantage. I guess it would come down to whether Shadow tired out Wario first or Wario managed to catch Shadow first.

Paper Mario the Overpowered Paper keeping shadow's chaos abilities in mind, the only way I can see wario winning is if they used the wario from wario land 2 or 3. Wario land 2's wario is literally invincible/ immortal (there's a quote in the instruction manual where wario says he's immortal and can't die) and WL3's wario can only die via horizontal crush, even though these are just game mechanics I don't think shadow would have a game mechanic that could counter this easily, The main reason it is invalid (and I was hesitant to post it) is because it's a no limits falacy
