@XalaalSomalis5 жыл бұрын
Gabras are Oromos, at least linguistically. However, there aren’t significant differences between all these groups and in many instances many similar clans have their linguistics from one group but claim to be from the other, as language is mainly geographic. There are Oromo speaking Somalis and vice versa. They are all interrelated and likely one big family(Afars, Sidamo, Silte Raindinle among these). If it wasn’t for revisionist historians, and the language difference, which has very little differences linguistically(grammar and overall structure), no one would dare categorize them as different. The differences in linguistics between two groups become more apparent as you move from one site to further and further away geographically. Gare, Gabra and Borana whom all inhabit similar areas speak the same language. And the Gare from South Somalia speak somewhat differently from their brethrens in Kenya and south Ethiopia.
