Caperfin made a video about this, basically you can tank 5 mans, but it's much much better on alliance with paladin buffs - kings, sanctuary, threat reduction on others, no wf spikes, but mainly: concentration aura, with improved talent.

What you say is true. Warlocks have a much better time on Alliance in PvE but what when you are out in the open world? Horde racials for the win =)

Not having master summoner seems like a huge mistake to me. Could easily prevent a wipe with an instant sac and summon vw and has obviously big implications for PvP. Taking 2 points away from Fel Stamina for it seems well worth it to me.

I agree with taking 2 points from Fel Stamina for Master Summoner. The build has you face tanking most of time anyway, and an instant sac/summon voidwalker could save the day. I'd also put 2 points into Improved Life Tap and just 3 points into Improved Drain Life, to help with mana efficiency per pull (less down time). @@The80sWolf_ Looks pretty good to me but it may be worth pointing out that the Suppression talent maybe worth taking since drain-life's resist chance would be affected by it, maybe sacrifice a few points somewhere to get it unless you're spell hit capped? Unfortunately it doesn't affect destruction spells like shadow bolt or searing pain so there are some arguments against it but still I think it could be a worthy talent. If it saves you a global cooldown or 2 from not resisting a DoT or Drain-Life it's well worth it imo.

As I see, this is your 2nd video after you got some suggestions. Would you please make a 3rd one with testing whether soullink (20/31/0) is worth it or you better use more shadow damage with sacrificing the succubus (30/21/0) for getting better life drain? I really would like to see the difference. As I remember the first video draining life gave you about double life then the regeneration from sacrificing the voild walker.

Also, master demonologist with a felhunter and and spell stones, which I don't think share a CD with healthstones, make warlocks the best spell damage tanks, especially when paired with a paladin or shaman that could give them an extra 60 resist for free.

Wait, I might be an idiot when it comes to match but isn't this just wrongly calculated? You TRANSFER 30% of the damage you take by incoming damage. The talent then lets the VOIDWALKER take 10% less dmg from all damage sources. This would mean that only the 30% that transfers to the Voidwalker is getting reduced by those 10% stemming from that specific, therefor the damage reduction in total is not even near 40% when it comes to your character. A rough estimate would rather be (pretending that your pet wont die or gets instantly resummed) those 30% that gets transferred + maybe 2%? tops...Or am I completely wrong here...?

Both warlock and void get the 10 decrease in phys dmg, but if it applies the 30 first or the 10 who knows. And with the armour stacking, i dont think the game calculates it quite like he thinks it does

Yeah its... 30% from armor so 70% of the damage is damage you take... That's reduced by 40%, so 40% of 70% is 28%, and that's added to 30%, so... 58% reduction against physical unless something funny is going on with soul link and master demonologist

You need grim reach at least, and Imp CoA might be better than imp drain life even for a build designed around drain tanking.

improved curse of weakness is for dungeons and raids, very strong dmg mitigation tool.

Hello, first of like the id but just to make a few observations on this. Lose the improved blood imp it does not fit into it with you're master demonologist, you lose 20% threat if u use it and not have the extra damage reduction form the voidwalker i would suggest putting 2 points in improved health tunnel. And 1 points in improved firestones/or master summoner . I never used firestones myself on a warlock but if searing pain is you're main agro pull , it seems to fit. Also I would lose the amplify curse in a tank build and stick to the curse of weakness. This would leave u with one point

Why improved imp if you're planning to use the vw to share damage?

dont go afflic, do 3/5 imp SP, and 2/2 intensity, for holding aoe aggro, or 5/5 imp SP, if you plan to just 1v1 tank things in raid. afflic is fine for pvp, or open world, but you're not a true warlock tank, until you solo tank raid bosses.

Disliked the video because it seemed rushed.. I like the build and the overall idea, but "u can pull aggro with drain life" and then not show that.. makes it a bit silly mate :) great idea tho! ty
