The kicker? By doing this it is closer to reality then most sci-fi settings as funny as it sounds. During Cold War humanity invented nuclear mines, hand held "briefcase" bombs, crew served launchers with nuclear warhead, nuclear artillery shells that can be loaded into any gun above 130mm in caliber or can be equipped to any sort of aircraft. Nowadays we are constantly increasing range and precision of those weapons. Neither of those two exclude the other. If humanity would be forced to abandon all treaties and ethics, we can develop an ATGM that is carried by two people, can fire for 20km, can guide the missile into an open hatch of a vehicle and then make a 10 kiloton explosion. Nowaday tech! People just forget how much we are actually pulling out punches if possible because we aren't all crazy uneducated religious fanatics fighting literal devil... and three other devils;)

You can say that starship guns can do better... until you need to bring starship gun right next to the target on surface level to fire accurate shot because either something is blocking line of sight from orbit or shooting from high angle isn't an option. That's when Titans come into play.

I really disagree with the 33 meter size. Titan weapons are usually described to have planet ending weapons, and "Change the tides of battle". How is that the case if their weapons are aomost similiar to the super heavy tanks?? Also, if we scale titans properly according to the size of the Emperor Titan, it doesn't make sense. Emperor Titans have CATHEDRALS on their backs not chapels. 50-55 meters is just too small. Let's say that 1/3 of the Titan is dedicated to the cathedral. The average height of cathedrals in the world is at 61.7 meters tall. So how in the world will 61.7 be 1/3 of 55????

33 meters tall? I play a game called Star Citizen and I have a small single pilot ship called the freelancer. When you walk around it from the outside you can see that its a tiny ship. Its 38 meters long. The Titans are truly gigantic GOD MACHINES that are capable of blotting out the sun as they cause the ground they walk on to tremble in fear with each and every step.
