Very good in-depth explanation on your paint job and the models. Lots of information in a short amount of time, and you've anticipated the common questions folks like me might have.

Wonderful paint job Chris, to say I'm impressed would be an understatement.

Love your paint jobs and I actually think the minis look fantastic. I'm one of the sorts of gamers who doesn't mind the lack of variety in poses, especially in smaller scales. In fact I actually prefer it because it makes a large group look like an ordered force rather than a ragtag group of skirmishers. :) Plus I have memories of Warhammer fantasy miniatures that had to be carefully placed in very specific places on the movement trays because their arms or tails would all stick out in odd directions. haha If these minis come out cheaper than 6mm metal figures, then I'm totally sold.

Thanks for the video. I was wondering about the size of the figures. Thanks for showing the scale. One thing I learned from painting figures is NEVER mix paints for Uniforms. Reason for it is, you will never be able to match the paint later on if you decide you to do it again. Plus you will for get what colors you used.

mix if you want military uniforms for a very long time have massive variety in how the dye came out.

Really nice crisp paint jobs on these I would echo your comments about variety but I am thinking more along the lines of getting large numbers onto the table and at around £90 for 2400 infantry and 24 artillery, I am happy with their choice, these are small figures not 28mm and so the lack of poses from three , foot away should not matter. Variety will come with the resin add ons. Hopefully this is a line Warlord support for many years and not one that gets dropped too early as has happenned a couple of times now

great video, thanks. Now how would you paint the cannons that come in this box set?? maybe a future video idea???

Actually, I used a custom mix called Aly's Brown Liquid. You can find the recipe here: alystoysoldiers.blogspot.com/p/a.html

To be honest, the actual paints don't matter too much. Just pick the light blue, dark blue, tan, and etc. from whatever paint range you like.

They're the same mold? I was under the impression they had different molds.

It’s a single plastic sprew with a horse mounted commander, a cannon with crew, 9 infantry lines, and 1 infantry command line. The poses are slightly different between each infantry line and you base them 2 to a stand, so by mixing them around you will get some variety. But honestly with the scale looking at them from above with them on the table they blend together.

Hello. You prime the strips? Thanks.
@FeldgrauProductions4 жыл бұрын
I did. I used a black primer and the spreed white from above. Probably not necessary, but a test. I'm going to paint more using 3 different primers to see how they look.
