The fact that the whole boss fight is a reference to Riven Legit, with three floors of burst DPS, a top floor of three longer damage rotation, then rinse and repeat until final stand, is nut-worthy. Also, the eyes on top floor are the same pattern of Riven's eyes

@AtlyxMusic Жыл бұрын
@@yudipota884 Journey is probably not the Final Shape theme. It was referenced very quickly in TFS trailer one time, and Journey is explicitly the theme for Earth/The Last City. It appears in the new dungeon because it's Earth related and because it's an early post-collapse human settlement. That's why it also appears when you spawn into Midtown and D2 Bannerfall (at first), why it appeared in Scourge of the Past and Zero Hour, why the SOTP/Zero Hour music is reused is stuff like Seraph's Earth activities and the Last City Override in Splicer, and why it only appears two times in Red War. Those times were when you were fleeing the City, and in the mission Chosen, when you return to the City. No one seems to notice or know this but that's what Journey is actually about. Edit - by the way, I don't mean this comment to say that Journey won't be in TFS, rather that up to this point, this is what the motif meant. I'd be shocked if it wasn't in TFS as a callback just because it's such an important track.

Warlord's ruin is one of the best dungeon experiences I've ever had both doing it Day 1, subsequent runs, and to Solo-flawless. It's the perfect mix of sound, visuals, story and difficulty. The Architecture is great and fresh as we finally have a familiar Earth-based setting. The DND inspired traps made navigation interesting as well ad Bungie adding their own Destiny Taken spin to it all. The music and SFX are also amazing, it made me feel something that just matched the scenery so well. Story-wise, I LOVE anything Dragon and it was cool to see Warlord's ruin give us another Ahamkara case study via Naeem and also dropping lore about Shaxx. (Diverging here but Taranis was also a great Case Study story. Gifts and Bargains was a beautiful read.) The gameplay was also pretty solid. While on raw concept it's nothing new (cap something and bank something) but it was done in a pretty cool way. Boss fight also gave us those Wraiths to play tag with and besides them being a little buggy, the fights were great. In fact this is the first time that a dungeon has had 3 boss encounters (Duality has 3 on technicality but I am referring to Bosses ie. health bar on bottom screen over Ultras ie. Yellow bar and diamond skull). It's rough on hunter with them not being able to produce any on-demand healing or defence which matters in some places. Warlocks and titans are pretty cool though. The solo flawless was challenging and it feels like I actually earned the achievement. It didn't feel like a waste of time and a rubbish thing to do like GotD with boss shields and thereby loadout restrictive choices and it's long and dreary underwater section. Nor did it push the bar too far like Vesper's Host where Puppeteer felt like difficulty for difficulty's sake to suck the life and joy out of playing the game. Warlord's was the right amount of difficulty, a perfect balance between "You have to work for this, we're not just gonna hand it to you" and "We understand this needs to be soloable" Overall this dungeon is likely the only one I'll give a 10 because it scores so well in every regard. Every other dungeon has some flaw I could shoot it down on even if they don't apply currently.

in all seriousness, This dungeon was very built up by virtue of Bungie releasing dungeons more regularly as well as there being a striking lack of Scorn dungeons, and given Bungie's track record throughout the Lightfall year, I wasn't exactly sharing the load. But as it turns out, neither was Warlords Ruin, because this dungeon is SO FREAKING GOOD that it elevates my overall opinion on all of Lightfall's year-long content from mediocre to above average!
