No words can say how good this pedal is. I’ve had all the high end CE-1 clones and this smokes them all. I don’t know how they did it but as a chorus/vibrato collector, you can’t get anything else that sounds like this. It is incredible, the way it changes your tone, you never want to stop playing it.

How is it compared to the PastFX Chorus Ensemble?

@@JI-xx5ot I love PastFX but if I’m being honest, it’s shockingly better. The CE1 fills the air in a way that no clone ever has for me. The Warm version does, though. It’s so good, I can’t even tell you.

@@starshineraiser6729dang fair enough haha I’m sold. Definitely getting one of these bad boys now. I’ve been wanting a solid CE-1 clone for a while now. The fact it’s cheaper than PastFX in addition to sounding better is just the cherry on top

It’s funny - in lots of ways Chorus can be seen as a bit cheesy but you do a fantastic job of using it here in interesting ways that sound timeless and contemporary.

that's always the challenge for me with chorus tbh; a little goes a long way, and picking your spots to splash with a more in your face setting can have a good impact.

yeah the 76 is really solid. kind of a Swiss Army knife studio compressor ; great on bass for sure!

Man that sounds so nice! What a texture machine. I'm super happy with my current chorus/vibrato setup right now, but I'm really hoping they put out a smaller footprint / more affordable take on the MF-104 (and hey, why not make it stereo?) I really think it'd sell like crazy.

Anyone have any problems running this in their signal chain especially with the always-on preamp? Wondering how it does with drives before it such as the Brown Protein.

naw, not necessarily. I like running modulation toward the start of my chain personally tho, but there's no right or wrong.

Hi! I love your videos, thank you for the awesome content. Question. I like the ambient sound you do and was wondering which guitar you like better. I saw your review video for the Guild Surfliner and I am between that one and the Jazzmaster. I think I like a little more the pedals you were using on your other video, but guitar wise, which one do you recommend? I like all kinds of music but want to focus more on Indie, Synth Pop, Neo Psychodelic, etc. Also the ambience sounds you have 😁

I do not own a ce-1 so idk. Love that they added rate and depth controls, it sounds like you’d expect a ce-1 to sound from everything I’ve heard. And it’s indeed $200 🤷🏼‍♂️

haha nailed it. yeah , I hear ya. It's nicely compacted from the originals, but still a hefty unit for a pedalboard.
