Someone using this machine said, "This smoothes the transients." A rudimentary question, why does rounding the transients make the hero's sound stand out? Is it the same as a compressor, the same as having more headroom secured and pushed in the function of the compressor?

I have a question, on the EQ, can i for example choose a frequency, then reduce it or add to it, then go to another frequency and reduce or add to it whilst my previous modification is still intact? For example reduce 700hz, and then increase 3200hz after?
@stevenholst4 ай бұрын
Not on the same potentiometer. You can obviously alter three different frequencies due to the three different pots, but you can't set multiple changes on just one of them.

Does the signal from the back XLR input get bypassed when you plug something into the front XLR input?

Can you use 2 mics into the front and rear XLR's ? I love mine, also have the WA76. I use both outputs, one to the '76 and one straight in, for parallel compression. Never tried the tone button, will give it a go

No you can’t.

So is the microphone input on the front the same as the one on the back?
@dietrpoppen79814 жыл бұрын
The XLR input on the front is identical to the one on the back (only one XLR output on the back). I always have an XLR plugged into the back of mine going to a patch bay, but get a signal through the front input anytime I plug into it. I’m not sure the rear input signal gets bypassed when plugged into the front, though.

Should the ground switch be lifted when in use?
@WarmAudioOfficial3 жыл бұрын
In general, a ground lift switch should only be used if there's a reason to - meaning, you have a hum or a buzz that you're trying to get rid of. If there are no such issues, leave the ground lift switch in its default position. Hope that helps!

@@WarmAudioOfficial it does. Thanks. I'm getting that WA-2A next 💪🏽

Is there a way to bypass the pre amp and strictly use this for EQ?
@WarmAudioOfficial2 жыл бұрын
Hey Skar! You'll still engage the circuitry of the preamp, even if you use the inserts. So, although there is a way to bypass the EQ, you can't bypass the preamp. Have you seen our WA-EPQ? Great piece of gear if you're just looking for EQ! warmaudio.com/eqp-wa/
@ernestdaniels16712 жыл бұрын
Yes, make sure the 48V for the preamp is off and then engage the EQ button and only the EQ will be used. If you are using it as a plugin, then make sure your have your I/O inputs and outputs set up to the inputs and outputs on the back of the WA73 and then click the line in button. It's in the manual. I love this thing. Getting more WA gear soon.

Hello!! Is it possible to connect two condenser microphones to the device from the front and from the back?
@WarmAudioOfficial2 ай бұрын
Hey! You would need the dual channel unit, the WA273-EQ in order to connect two microphones.

@@WarmAudioOfficial WHAT IS THE XLR MICROPHONE INPUT ON THE REAR PANEL OF THE DEVICE?
@WarmAudioOfficial2 ай бұрын
@@АбакарИльясханов-й5з The multiple mic inputs on the WA73-EQ simply give engineers easy access to the input depending on their setup. With some studio studios it might be more convenient to use the back panel mic input. In most cases the gear is in a rack and the front panel input is much more accessible. Hope this helps!
@WarmAudioOfficial2 ай бұрын
The same as the XLR input on the front. You can only use one or the other on a single channel. If it's easier to access the real panel mic input with your studio setup, you would use that one. If it's easier to use the front panel mic input, you would use that one.

Is this mic pre enough transparent enough so i can get coloration not too much in your face? I`m in search for preamp that can go pretty transparent , but also can saturate enganging output if needed.

I think you'll love this mic pre, Dado! I'd reach out to our QC team to get some specifics on coloration. Below is a link. They'll get back to you ASAP. warmaudio.com/product-inquiry/

It's rather transparent, but press the tone button for added color via the changing impedance for the mic
