Warmag Storage and Magnets Review + Boxing up the Elysian D99

Greetings Magnetic storage and hobby fans! In this video we check out some products kindly provided to us by the folks over at Warmag. Our goal was to find a suitable storage solution for the 60 elysian drop troops we painted previously. To cut a long story short, we were VERY happy with the results.

If you stick a magnetic sheet on the inside of the lid you can store minis upside down in the same box.

I store my miniature figurines in a cornicopia of different recepticles bought from the hardware store, $ Stores, The Walmart, interesting repositories from The Thrift Store and-so-on. Oh, I also archive the many, many unbuilt kits in their original packaging which're sometime then boxed up in Rubbermaid bins. Oh, and the Warmag Storage and Magnets seem pretty okay!

11:22 the holes in the center of the bases seem to fit smaller 2mm or 3mm magnets. If you use neodymium magnets, smaller ones are still strong enough that you really don't need the big ones you were using. If your base magnets are too strong, it can cause accidental damage to models getting bunched up.

I magnetised my GSC army but I used a small B&Q toolbox instead:) It has trays on the top that pull off and little compartments for dice etc on the lid. Toolbox's also have handles built in.

I've never had Marmite, but I am a fan of Bovril and the North American variant, Bovrite. Gets me through duck season.

@SnakeWorksStudio Yeah, I have several jars of it in my pantry. It's my go to hot drink to take with me hunting in the Winter. A thermos of Bovrite, a loaf of crusty bread, and some smoked cheese. Hits the spot. Then a pipe packed with a nice English blend. That's the life.

Usually when you get frosting issues with CA, it's also a sign that you probably used too much of it.

You don't get frosting if you use a CA accelerator, such as sodium bicarbonate. It makes the cyanoacrylate react too quickly for fumes to disperse much.

@@SnakeWorksStudio it reacts with the moisture in the air, but yeah. Cyanoacrylate reacts with H2O.

Miniatures snapping to each other ia the reason i think magnets are an idiot idea. Oh no foam will scratch my paint job! You know what, ill glue strong magnets on the base. That will keep my mini safe. Oh snap the bases just got snapped together when the minia were too close xD
