Typical Grey Knights storyline 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ By Games Workshop's own inconsistent logic, the fact that they were able to _destroy_ it (after removing the demon posessing it and not getting squad-wiped in the process somehow) means that it should be close to impossible for the Space Wolves to kill any of them. (Edit: removed some typos)

I absolutely hate it when space marines or Primarchs destroy stuff as big as Titans. It just makes no sense, these things can take out entire regiments in half a second but God forbid killing off a name character in a reasonable way.
@whocares427
@whocares427 Жыл бұрын
To be fair, Titans ARE shown as one of the few things capable of killing a Primarch, and if the Primarch gets caught by surprise in a bad position they can certainly die. Even with all his powers, Magnus was utterly exhausted and nearly killed when he took a direct hit from an Eldar Titan. And Lorgar, completely juiced up by Chaos, still got turned into a meat stump with most of his face and flesh missing from a mere Warhound titan.
@henryviiifake8244

@@whocares427 There is no "mere" when it comes to Titans. Lorgar tanked a point-blank shot to the face from that Warhound. Plus he already had phychic powers before going "full chaos". Claimed to be the first titan, yet was extremely large rather than a smaller prototype. And had the glorious part where it basically just decided it was a daemon and that made the grey knights powers suddenly work in it where it didn't before. So less "possessed" and more "decided it wanted to be a daemon and apparently that's all it took".

It's a shame this class of titan was such a cool concept that got wasted but at the same time, that's the entire point of this thing, it's basically a "here's a cool dark age of technology thing that we can't have" Also for people complaining about grey knights destroying it, they didn't just deploy on a battlefield and shoot it to death, they boarded the thing and destroyed it from the inside. While it may be the most devastating war machine on land, it's basically a small ship to board and destroy, the only difference, is there's an atmosphere.

Yeah the amount of smoothbrain comments about "muh plot armour." Bro. Three squads of space marines have proven enough to take over an entire grand cruiser. A squad of anti daemon specialists boarding a daemon titan and destroying it isn't a stretch.

@@tarnished9108 good to know, I'll have to read Mortis. As far as Titanicus, yeah it's good. It's a standalone Dan Abnett book so expect several themes and different storylines throughout the book, i.e. a major from a tank regiment, a tertiary PDS conscript, a convicted murderer Moderati. Even the title of the book is somewhat tongue-in-cheek.
