Hey man ! Thanks for showing off this awesome build! I'm a first time newbie trying to put mine together so I'm curious about your *specs* and I'm a little stuck when it comes to the neck , let me explain maybe you can help me out ... . Now I *have a burning question* *About neck width at the nut* You seem like you enjoyed your build here and know what neck you wanted in your custom build so I'm wondering, for the neck I want : *standard thin profile neck profile and 11/16 (43mm nut)* . *is width of the neck up at the nut the same width in every neck profile that you have* ? * *neck width* dictates what nut width *will suit it best no?* OR are the neck profile and nut width *not dependent on eachother?* . "I can't see any measurements on the neck profile section on The Warmoth site about this , SO therefore if I want a 1-11/16 nut but the necks width AT the NUT is say 1 3/4ths, then wont there be too much wood on the shoulders of the fretboard OR when I choose 1 11/16ths nut then that means the standard thin neck gets cut accordingly right to that nut width? . . I thought this was worth asking since I haven't heard anything about that point specifically on any Warmoth neck comparisons/neck profile/nut width videos etc so if there is any correlation between those points it really got me thinking^ and I'd be very interested to know. . Another example is for is say the guitar so the smaller scale body and neck 7/8 guitar , with the standard thin neck on there (example) now let's pretend it has a 1 3/4ths *neck width at the nut* (example) sounds like it has to have a 1 3/4ths (44mm) nut to match it surely ? Or again is it opposite , so the nut width must be smaller than that ^ to have "room" on the fretboard and you go with 1 -11/16th ? (43mm) . . This is the very last piece of the equation I'm trying to figure out. Really hope you see this and all that makes some sense🙏 ^ please stay safe and healthy during this time, once warmoth is available to start shipping again due to covid back up I'm looking forward to finally pulling the trigger and putting the beast together 👌 with every build you REALLY learn I cant believe a year ago I was squeamish about changing pickups on a guitar now it's the neck I'm stuck on and everything else is ready go figure haha. . Please let me know your thoughts whenever you can!! Anyways Cheers from Niagara falls Canada keep staying safe and healthy 🙏🤟😊 - Adam

Hi Adam, Thanx for your message! To start with the most important question for you about the neck specs, I’m afraid that I don’t have the answers for you. Just like you, I got rather confused when I looked at the choices to be made for a Warmoth neck. I don’t have any idea how to interpret technical specs. In addition there is no reference, so I considered it was too much risk to order one. So what I did was taking a 55 year old neck (unknown branch) from my other tele and placed it on the Warmoth body. Which appeared to be an excellent choice. So I keep it that way. So my other tele has no neck at this moment and I did not yet decide how to save that because that body is much too heavy. The Warmoth Tele is really the best I ever had. It has a chambered body and all options for comfort/contoured body at the back/neck and front. I made use of a Rutters (USA) bridge and tailor-made P90 single coil pickups based on 1954 specs. Really good shielded so no noise. (Not the modern versions with are humbuckers in fact and sound different.) They are made by Bob Gabriel (4-seasons pickups). A guy that worked for Semour Duncan and a.o. did jobs for Gary Moore, BB King, Clapton. He also did the complete vintage wiring for me and gave me original vintage bumble bee capacitors. I believe this pickups and wiring form the most important contribution to the sound. The only advice I can give you for the neck is that it has to match with the string spacing of the bridge and the bridge spacing of the saddles has to match with the spacing of the magnetics of the pickups. For this reason I choose for the Rutters bridge, the only one I could find that matches perfectly with the p90 magnetics. Hopefully this helps a little. Best egards Kees

De amp is een Kauffmann Silverado die aan mijn wensen is aangepast door Edwin Thoen van Ed's Custom Shop. Ik gebruik hier geen pedalen. De reverb is van de amp zelf.
