So I'm curious, I have auto locking hubs that lock when vacuum is applied. But I can manually lock them if a vacuum line was too fail. So if I was too cap off the main line that feeds both hubs with vacuum. I can still lock my hubs manually, but auto would now be considered free? Instead of auto? And to engage 4x4, I would just have to go manually lock them. Then turn them to auto to unlock them. Does that make sense? Would that work? Or do I need to actually get manually hubs

I assume that this Dana used to be vacuum assisted 4x4, if so was there any change needed for the so called oil seal or vacuum bladder on the axle shaft.

What is the bolt pattern on the new unit bearings??? Where did you source them? who drilled them for the new bolt pattern?

These bearings can be set up to 8x6.5" and 8x170mm. We got them from Artec Industries website. We bought them already drilled with both of these bolt patterns, I'm going to assume Artec does the drilling.

Jack we bought this axle out of a junkyard in Virginia. We went on Car-part.com and looked for the axle assembly from a ford super duty 2005 and newer. You will find killer deals on there!
