honestly i think the uneveness adds to the effect and the color is wonderful, i'd call it a true forest green since the effect displays all the greens you find in the forest. From the bright green of fresh shoots to the dark blue green of old needle wood.

I wouldn't call that a failure. I really think that it turned out pretty nice. I personally am a big fan of green color palettes on vehicles and that's not your ordinary dark green. You still see the yellow pearl base peeking through depending on the angle.

I'm feeling that shade of green! It didn't lay down smooth but the color is pretty sweet. Not a complete failure. Try mixing/blending the top coat into the base coat and lay it down as one. Then finish off with the gloss.

As Bob Ross would say, we dont make mistakes, we have hapoy accidents. Even for stuff like this, it makes it unique. For things that are even, that means that this is completely unique. No other paint job is like this. And if you were to do this again, it would come out differently. Yet I love the effect this does. We can always be our own wordt critic, but as I see with other comments, it has its own charm and I love it.

Man, this is a fun experiment, there’s nothing wrong with trying things that aren’t typically combined. We learn more from our disappointment than achievements. You grow and we do to! The color is beautiful, 5 out of 5 for the color, the the consistency 3 out 5. Here’s an idea, gold base, with a mix of blue and yellow candy for a really rich Jade green.

Honestly, I dig it. It's like a cheaty colorshift. Nine coats (?!) created a really interesting glaze. Laughed out loud at the reveal though, the change from the initial yellow was so striking. Glad that you picked a yellow base, because it would not have turned out so good over blue's proper opposite color: orange.

Sometimes a failure in ones book is a win in someone else's book! I'm not a huge fan of green but with the yellow sneaking through I really like this! I honestly believe it would have been even better with a few coats less of blue to let a bit more yellow pop. You can clearly see the texture and the unevenness, but the end result was definitely a cool (borderline '04 Rich) color. if you mean rattle can as in spray paint, I've seen many cars in my town that were blatantly full body spray painted. This is significantly better. The quality of this matches a lot of the higher price custom paints in my local area. And the color is a lot nicer too.

I give this color a 5. It's fantastic. Better than the yellow! I thought it would be a green but this is like a brilliant forest green with blue undertones and I simply love it ❤

I give it a 5 as well. This green is amazing! Didn't notice the unevenness once it got that dark as much. I have always been thinking of something similar but with a candy emerald green over a silver or chrome base. Or a candy purple so it looks like dot 5 brake fluid in a metal can. Beautiful colors, but there might be a better way to get similar effects and color coming out more even.

I actually like the end result. A very nice emerald green. Could you have gotten the same effect with a single color? Perhaps, but this has some interesting depth.

Green is not my favourite colour but I've gotta be honest, it doesn't look half bad. The colour I could live with, the orange peel not so much. Hats off to you for taking the risk and experimenting, not many will and fewer still admit when it didn't go as well as they hoped.

The uneven colors gives it a randomness that I can't hate and makes it unique so I'd still give it at least a 3 out of 5

Right after the first pass I saw the green automatically pop, so I knew it was gonna just turn a deeper green. It does however look pretty good, even though I'm not a green car guy. I'm curious what that candy cobalt would do over a charcoal grey base. I'm thinking kind of a space effect, but it would be interesting to see

4. Looks good! Because it doesn’t look deep ‘like jello’, I believe various mixes of the blue candy could work to create fishbelly effect.

yep...yellow + blue = green 😀 I wonder if the base was blue with yellow top coat would give same results. Its a bit too dark green for me but your quality shows.
