5:20 There are plane flyovers over the old WB backlot in the 1930s. Most sets have been torn down (they had a complete western town and a long 1920's New York street). But the courthouse entrance you see here was standing back then already - that set is 100 years old.

So many actors & Warner's employees are long gone now. But they will never be forgotten as long as their films & tv episodes keep playing. Closest thing to immortality and leaving a legacy.

One of my grandma’s friends is a universal crew member, so he has worked on tons of shows. It was awesome when he invited us over to the lots to hang out with him. We got to walk around the sets a bit and We definitely got see a lot of behind the scenes stuff. Also side note it’s incredibly hard to find a REAL actual working bathroom on the lots.

Adam, just love seeing the back lots. Not seen the old west town scenes, ever. Guess they no longer exist. Of interest is the Smoke House where the booths are very reminiscent of 1950s lounges and bar and grills. Places that had soft lighting, lounge music playing in low volume, enough to project background sound to disguise private conversations in booths but still be welcoming to the ear. And plush places to sit, have a meal and a terrific drink. What great days.

It's just so unbelievably incredible, the amount of history that these buildings and lots have. It's quite honestly difficult to even fully get a grasp on. There's just so much that's happened there over the last hundred years that has become such a big part of not only the individual memories of everyone who's gone to see a movie at a theater, or has acted in a movie or was there as an extra., but also it's been just a huge party of the history of this country, and when they first started making films they were able to show the rest of the world what the US looked like and a little bit of our life here. Granted, a lot of it was embellished or totally fake, but regardless, it still helped to create what America means to the rest of the world. I can't imagine what it would be like to go through and see so much of these things. I can't even imagine what someone would find in these old prop houses or film storage areas, or the wardrobe buildings, etc. I imagine that there is just a immense amount of History inside those walls that people don't even realize is there. So cool.
