I took that logo on my dad's Clint Eastwoods. It only showed up on ''Tightrope''. I needed to use different logos than this logo.

I think the last tapes to use the \\' logo were the Super Powers tapes with the Filmation cartoons featuring Superman, Superboy, Batman, and Aquaman.

And the "Super Powers" videos as well. I have a 1996 reprint of the Batman Super Powers tape, with the \\' intact.

This was last used December 1985. All January 1986 releases had the shield, although the December 85 releases did carry the newer logo on the covers.

Its lone post-1986 appearance was on the 1964 film "Ensign Pulver," released on video in 1990.

I'm so glad they got rid of this "W" and brought back the old shield. The W now has a much more fitting home as the logo for Warner publishing.

I recognise this icon very well. I've heard this 'Big W' symbol used to be a logo for Warner Bros. from 1972 until 1984. Warner Music Group currently uses this former logo of Warner Communications designed by Saul Bass after being spun-off by Time Warner (now WarnerMedia when Time Warner was acquired by AT&T) in 2004.

@AngelicStorm1 It was indeed one of the last, though Never Ending Story may have been slightly later (or before). Reasoning was the covers and labels carried the newer shield logo, but the recording had the older bubble logo. Police Academy 2 I think was one of the first to have the shield, as unlike most other releases, it had a copyright warning before the logo whereas that logo usually went straight in.

This logo is currently used by the Warner Music Group, which spun off from Time Warner in 2003.

@AngelicStorm1 I saw the 1980 Warner Home Video logo on the 1986 VHS tape of Just Tell Me What You Want so it may have been used on a few 1986 releases.

The Goonies is from 1986 on VHS so it would most likely have the Cheesy Shield instead of this logo.
