Wikipedia says Henry Young was released from Washington State penitentiary in 1972 at the age of 61 … after that he disappeared … his whereabouts are not known … till today no one knows what was his life after that. Kevin Bacon is a much underestimated character actor. It’s ridiculous that it’s Footloose that people remember the most. I love every movie I saw him acting in. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

I'm so relieved! I'm happy he wasn't murdered in that cruel horrific place or torture! Wiki says he was a "bank robber"! He was a frick8n kid who stole 5 bucks! He was driven to near insanity from sensory deprivation! Never being in the light for over 3 years causes brain injury! It destroys the brain, the mind, the body. It would cause the brain injury called profound autism. I'm the adoptive mother of a now 36 year old son who has profound autism. He didn't go through anything like this of course. I adopted him as a 2 day old baby. His biological mother didn't get prenatal care because she hid her pregnancy from everyone. She planned to dump my son in the trash, but he got stuck and for three days, she to9k huge amounts of prescription pain killers until finally she went to the hospital. She had been doing all kinds of drugs and drinking her entire pregnancy because she figured why not, she was gonna kill him anyways. My precious son had major lack of oxygen. My ex husband and I were lied to by the hospital that told us he was a perfectly healthy baby boy. It wasn't true, theybknew it wasn't true. They knew he would end up profoundly brain injured. By the time we found out the truth,mi was screwed, I absolutely adored him. My husband to9kmoff and I've been alone with him most of his life. I'm glad I found your comment and went on Wiki to find out Henry made it out alive. I was weeping uncontrollably. Thanks.

I am 54 years old. Must have been busting my ass off working during this time, 1995. Never heard of this movie. Somehow this popped up on my youtube feed and I have to say, this is a damn good movie. This movie was incredible. How Bacon was over-looked for an Oscar is criminal. To think that Hanks won for Forest Gump over the mesmerizing performance by Kevin Bacon is a colossal embarrassment. Kevin displayed every emotion and was CONVINCING. He wasn't a cartoon.

I last saw this movie over 20 years ago & it was such a brilliant true depiction that I felt real hatred for warden Glenn, so much sadness for Henry, & real admiration for James. It's a masterpiece that put me through the entire spectrum of emotions. This film should have won every award available. Oscars, best movie, etc. I've noticed a few comments that Henry Young did not die on Alcatraz but was released from Washington State Penitentiary in 1972. I really hope that's factual & Henry enjoyed those years & maybe he found love & made many friends. One of the best film ever made & it still put me through those same emotions today. Thank you for posting, absolutely superb.

This just makes me want to cry about how people treat people. What’s worse is that this type of abuse still goes on in prisons. General public are not awear as we have been taught not to care because a prisoner has done something wrong by society. These people deserve to be treated far better than what they are. Some countries today have taken responsibility and have tremendous outcomes like Switzerland. We can only hope that other countries follow such a beautiful example.❤

Almost without exception, violence in the prisons is now committed by the other prisoners. And they've also done a 180 from this time. Now we have men in women's prisons. I've seen it for myself. You can watch life behind bars on pluto. There are men with penises identifying as women, simply by changing their name, and being admitted to female prisons. They go in there so they can have sex. Some of the female prisoners are up for it, and some aren't. Can you even imagine something that crazy happening back then?

To wit, Gary Oldman was in Nolan's Batman trilogy (which also had Heath, Cillian, Morgan and Michael Caine in it) with Christian Bale, who was in Equilibrium (also American Psycho) with Sean Bean, Emily Watson and Angus MacFadyen, who was in Mel Gibson's Braveheart. Arguably, William H. Macy's most memorable role was as the anti-hero in Fargo, where he co-starred with anti-villains Steve Buscemi and Peter Stormare. Christian Slater has co-starred with the likes of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, as well Winona Ryder, who was in Edward Scissorhands with Johnny Depp, This movie blows the Kevin Bacon game wide open!

The judge was brilliant. If all judges where like him, cases would heard with all the evidence and proper accuracy. Instead judges grow impatient and rule over the lawyers in shameful fashion in some cases. A great movie in which everyone should watch.
