About Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep:
#DoctorSleep is the continuation of Danny Torrance’s story 40 years after the terrifying events of Stephen King’s The Shining. Still irrevocably scarred by the trauma he endured as a child at the Overlook, Dan Torrance has fought to find some semblance of peace. But that peace is shattered when he encounters Abra, a courageous teenager with her own powerful extrasensory gift, known as the “shine.”

It's satisfying to see Stephen King being on board with this movie, even though he doesn't like Kubrick's The Shining.

I find it so satisfying that the protagonists weren't so weak and they were able to torment the antagonists and take revenge for those poor little kids they killed.

An amazing adaptation of the book, it's a shame it didn't get the attention it deserved

I felt horrified for a whole day after watching this movie thinking of the baseball boy's torture scenes. And then horrified for two more days after realizing what the little girl we see before him, and so many other kids we don't see, must have gone through. Then a minute of solace in the realization that this is fiction, followed by a week of being horrified at the real-world metaphor for kids that are victims of violence. I didn't think horror movies could haunt me for 10 days, Mike! You did it again, after Hill House, and more recently Bly Manor!

Jacob Tremblay did a PHENOMENAL job as “baseball boy” and his tragic, horrific death scene. I really didn’t expect them to show it like that. Jacob was so convincing at being in complete fear.

the whole movie was fantastic, Rebeca as rose with the hat, the mannerisms like a predator, her families too. the astral projection scene. This movie was perfect for me.

The Director himself is wearing an Apollo-13 T shirt from the Shining. He's a Fan. A Fan made this Movie. Can't be more Proud.

Mike looks so relaxed.... even having to carry the weight, of adapting elements of King's work, and also being a continuation of the Shining.... he´s such a creative man, and also looks so relaxed with the project.

The scenes with the kids were truly disturbing. Ferguson was evil. Curran was a revelation. McGregor surprised me. Great movie.

Saw The Shining at the theater back in the day and wasn't as creeped out as I was watching Dr Sleep at home. Love this movie.
