Dear Fr Warner - thank you for painstakingly going through each verse explaining the actual meaning of the text. It was intriguing to learn about 'the horns of the altar' & the 'cows of Bashan'! The text portrays God's extreme wrath....Israel was God's family yet they had abused His privileges by their abhorrent sins, so they had to face terrible consequences. As God's children, we too have lessons to learn - we are not exempt from God's punishment if we sin. So we must lead righteous lives & be faithful to Him. Your blessing always brings us peace. God bless you abundantly & keep you well. 🙏 💞

Thank you very much Fr Warner for your detailed teaching which makes the book of Amos so much easier to understand. You explain the context of the reading so intricately which makes a big difference to our understanding of Scripture. Thank you also for the detailed teaching of the Book of Kings which again made reading it so simple. I have not had the privilege of getting such detailed explanations before. God bless you and your Ministry. We continue praying for your good health.

Dear Fr., The Word of God is so wonderful, but we are so hard of heart we do not understand it when we simply read it. But your way of teaching is actually drilling into us and leaving something valuable for us to learn. Thank you very much for all your efforts. God Bless you 🙏😊

"Our punishment is given according to our privileges." That's something that I never think off....taking God's mercy for granted ....... 🙏 Thank you dear Fr. Warner for uttering those words without softening it.🙏

Thank you Fr. For this beautiful teaching..... When betrayal comes from family, it hurts the most and this is what I see in Ch3 vs 2. God is so deeply hurt after all that He did for the only ones whom He called His family. Israel His chosen one. I've experienced betrayal in the same way but I do not know if I can have God's unconditional love for this person. So I pray each day that God's will be fulfilled in my life. Please pray for me, as I continue to pray for you🙏

Thank you so much. I would never have understood any of this without your teaching. Amos is definitely a reading for these days. God is calling us and many many are ignoring Him. So many people do not know right and wrong. God is waking us up through Amos. Thank you Lord for your love for us.

God looked on Israel as His Own Family and He was angry as the Israelites had not followed His Commandments God gives us time to change. God sent Prophets to help the people to go through a spiritual renewal. But the Israelites were not ready to wipe out violence, hatred and come on to the right path. Thanks a million Fr.Warner for the detailed explanation. May the Holy Spirit continue to inspire and guide you Fr.Warner

Thank you Father, your teaching is so interesting and easy to follow and truly understand.. we get to know our God through the prophet Amos, His unconditional love for His people. He chastises, but is yearning and hoping that they will return to loving Him.

Prophet Amos made a clear connection between the great privilege of Israel and the great responsibility that comes with such privilege We falsely believe that we are privileged people of God, therefore we look for his mercy. He will not punish us. But that is not so. The more privileges we are given, the more responsibility comes along with it. Therefore if we fail to fulfill that responsibility we deserve punishment says Amos.

Fr. Warner you have a wonderful understanding of the events and chronology and the prophets with their prophesies in the Old Testament. Something we somehow don't give adequate importance unfortunately. Now your teaching is truly eye opening. God bless you abundantly!

Thank fr. for your scripture reflection and explaining of Amos till chapter 4. I want some understanding. Jeroboam was the first king of divided northern kingdom of 10 tribes of Isreal and he built alter of calf in Bethel and other two places to ensure his subjects do not go to Jerusalem for worship and people denigrated to worship of pagan gods like Baal or Molech. Still God wooed his people

These passages stress the importance of listening to God's warnings, repenting, and living righteously, as God's judgement is inevitable for unrepentant sin.

Father yes please continue with continuous daily teaching approach. Yes we have feast but dont these feasts need our basic bible knowledge first before we celebrate them and well? And another thing... the church has set feasts and memorials and all over the weekdays but we don't go to mass on those days then the churches move these feast days to Sundays and further complicate the reading cycles and many times we miss out on important teaching that get skipped
