I have been loving Phat Kaphrao (also Pad Krapow, Pad Kaprao and Pad Gaprao or even Pad Kar Pao) for years already, but it was only lately that I found out that the dish I loved was called Phat Kaphrao, before that I only knew Phat Kaphrao as No. 107 on the menu from my local Thai restaurant. In essence it's a stir-fry and you can make it with many different proteins, the only common denominator is the Holy Basil, which is a must and the sauce. Many say that this is the "secret" national dish of Thailand, I can't judge, but it sure is one of my favourite dishes of all time. I prefer it with Chicken, so a Phat Kaphrao Gai. It's such a simple dish, only takes about 20 minutes to prepare, so what are you waiting for? 😃
